I ordered the Pepper mill which at 7" is what I'd consider a mid-size mill. It holds plenty of peppercorns for tabletop use without needing to be constantly refilled. Grinds are fairly uniform and adjustable. Mill itself has a nice weight and has a very attractive look and finish.Like another reviewer mentioned, this mill ships with just a string-tied hanging tag dangling from the top adjustment nut, and no other protection. In my case it came on its own without other items and arrived safely, but I agree this needs some bubble wrap at minimum to protect it during shipping from accidental dings and dents. I would recommend ordering separately from other items, at least for the time being.

This is perfect for my dining room table. While I appreciate the ease of grinding of electric mills, and I have a few, I tend to use them in the kitchen. They tend to be surprisingly noisy, which is disruptive of dinner. This "old-fashioned" mill is the kind I prefer at the table. I had a set of Cole & Mason grinders long ago that I received as a gift, but I think I lost them in a move, so I was very happy to get this. The grinding mechanism is great, and since it's ceramic it won't corrode. Easy enough to adjust the grind with a small screwdriver--I actually keep a set of screwdriver in a magnetic container on my refrigerator for all these kitchen chores.

This pepper grinder does NOT adjust to a wide range of coarseness. It grinds fine or very fine but it does not adjust to any medium or coarse settings. Loosening the top screw simply unscrews it. It does not let the inner grinding disk at the bottom of the grinder get lower and thereby opening up a larger space between the two disks. The fine grind is fine for eggs or cooking but not as coarse as we want for salads or meat. I don’t know if this is a general problem or if we received a defective unit. The size of the grinder is nice. It is reasonably attractive, functional but not elegant. We would return it if we had purchased it.

The good: as shown in the picture, the fresh grinds from this pepper grinder are very fine and reasonably homogeneous in size. For scale, the tip of a retractable ball-point pen is included. The not so good: I was appalled when this stylish, wood-frame grinder with an otherwise beautiful satin finish arrived without any protection as a loose, unprotected, exposed item without its own packaging box in a larger cardboard package which included other items. There is a mar on the finish (picture included) in a very conspicuous location. Truly, you've got to be kidding... unforgivable. Instead of a display piece, this must be downgraded to utility kitchen tool. YMMV.

It came unboxed, and with zero packaging. There was a small tag that had the name of the product and manufacturer but no real helpful product information.I put some peppercorns in the grinder and it was easy to grind at every degree of thickness.

I have several pepper mills and this is probably the nicest of my collection. It’s not the biggest but the wood is so lovely and nicely polished! Also, this one has the finest grind of all of them which I really love for topping off a special meal that is plated and on the table.

It is a nice pepper mill, nice beech wood with a nice stain finish. As far as the price goes it is hard to say much, prices have gone up for everything, so has. For the pair it would cost 60 dollars, considering you buy it once and have it for a very long time the price point can be o.k. It is simple modern, clean.
