This product still clumps up no matter Peugeots best attempt at a new mechanism. If you dry your salt out it will only rehydrate from any moisture in the room and clump up on the bottom not letting any salt out . It will probably grind pepper(s). And maybe even coarse coffee for a French press.....maybe. That is why Peugeot is selling them on their website for 50% off as an Oleron.The only way to use this with Celtic Sea Salt or any other "WET" salt, is to dry your salt before using it. Dry your salt in an oven on a baking sheet then place in the grinder and use it within a week or so. After drying it crumble it and put it into your salt grinder. This will stay good for about a week or so depending on the humidity in your house. If the salt gets wet again it may clog up the grinding mechanism. You may find that this salt grinder does not hold a lot of salt as I have. Order a larger capacity salt grinder with ceramic burrs if you are only using wet sea salts. You can of course use Pink Himalayan" in this grinder as well without having to dry it.

Perfect grinder for damp salt. We normally buy celtic salt and like to cook with it. I have to refill it frequently, especially when we cook at home, but it is easy and feels very sturdy and well made.

Bought this specifically for Celtic salt. Had other salt mills but they would rust due to the wet nature of Celtic salt. This one does not rust, however it clogs. When grinding the salt there will be a large amount that is clumped together on the mill. Not sure if this is just the nature of the salt or the mill itself. The metal mills did not have this problem though. The screw that holds the top on loosens easily when using the mill.

I like buying wet salt and have had a hard time finding a salt grinder that doesn't gunk up. So far this seems to be working well and it seems sturdy enough to last.

I use Baha Gold wet salt, and this, "Peugeot Molene Grey “Wet†Salt Mill, 5-1/2"" White. Ceramic mechanism." Is useless for wet salt. Doesn't do anything, absolutely nothing comes out no matter how long you try. Totally a waste of time and $$$!

Sad this didn’t work out for me. Purchased and worked fine at first then when I replaced salt it stopped working? It’s wet salt as well. It’s after the 30 days now and of course I can’t return now. Ugh it’s not cheap.

Ich hatte mir die Mühle vor einigen Wochen bestellt; sie war bereits gefüllt mit einem feuchten (!) und ungebleichten Meersalz. Die Funktion war/ist einwandfrei. Da ich wissen wollte, ob ich auch "normal" grobes Meersalz verwenden kann, rief ich den Kundenservice Peugeot Deutschland an und fragte nach. Die sympathische Mitarbeiterin erklärte mir, dass diese Mühle wirklich NUR für feuchtes Salz verwendet werden darf, da das Keramikmahlwerk sonst Schaden nehmen könnte. Ich halte mich eben dran und bin mit der Mühle sehr zufrieden. Wegen der Einschränkung einen Punkt Abzug.

Ich bin enttäuscht über die Meersalzmühle. Gerade wenn das Meersalz etwas feucht ist dann fallen nur noch grobe Brocken oder eben nichts aus der Mühle. Da die Mühle speziell für feuchtes Meersalz sein soll bin ich mit der Funktion nicht zufrieden. Außerdem ist der Streukreis der Mühle sehr groß. Versucht man Salz über sein Frühstücksei zu mahlen wird leider nur der Rand des Eierbechers gesalzen. Auf dem Ei landet leider fast kein Salz. Ich würde mir diese Salzmühle keinesfalls wieder kaufen.

Déçu de l'emballage. J'ai un poivrier amoché sur les côtés car l'emballage de base est un grand emballage à bulles dégonflés donc très léger et le poivrier devait être dans une petite pochette fine qui se baladait... Bref pas génial. Dommage pour le prix.... Après le produit très bien...
