Wear a thimble..these are nice and sharp and glide so easily through several layers of fabric. Very well made.

I like using it for bookbinding. The needles are a little thicker than sewing needles which is what I was using before, so keep in mind that if you're using a thin thread, the holes will be bigger. They were bigger than the linen thread I was using.

The smallest needle wasn't nearly as sharp as I needed for the kind of sewing I was doing. I needed something sturdy but capable of doing finer work than these needles allowed.

I was recovering my couch with a canvas type heavey denim fabric. I needed a curved needle that was strong-yet sturdy enough to move like it was going through butter-This was the one! I had ordered Dritz, Singer and other brands-If they were sturdy-they were like trying to drive a heavy paper clip through the fabric-if they were smooth-they would break off in the middle of my hand stitching. These are the best needles ever-I wish I found them sooner!!!!!

I use these for hand-basting quilts and other sewing projects. For years I had used needles purchased at my local fabric store. When I used this brand for the first time, I was startled and amazed at how much better they were. They pierce and glide through the fabric like butter. I'm so glad I moved up to this better quality product.
