I bought this along with a sail awning by the same company. Based on the photos I wasn't expecting the quality of the parts I received. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of materials as well as the construction.

Used this to pull a sail shade super tight from the far post shown in picture. Worked great! Was also super easy to take down prior to the hurricane force winds we had a few weeks back. The only thing I noticed is that after spoolng up the entire wire, some of the plastic coating was damaged and now there are cracks in it, but wire still holding strong even after adding lights and more tension the 2nd time putting it up.

Ratchet did come undone during a storm, just had to climb back up and rewind it.

The items appear to be a good quality and work well except the plastic coating on the cables which is peeling off within a matter of days. As shown in the pictures I rigged Pullies at the top of the polls and ran the cable down the pole to a lower level so we could access the Cranks to raise and lower the sale from the ground. The pulleys were not part of the kid

We bought this specifically for the small winches so kept the order. However, the parts are not 316 stainless, 304 is clearly stamped on several items. The brackets that attach the winches were missing, and we still cannot figure out what the J hooks are good for with the included hardware - they must go with something they slide into but it was not included. But anyway, we got the small winches and are thrilled with them.

This product was easy to install and set, but we did have an issue where one of the winches was not locking right. I sent them a note and I had a complete new set on my doorstep within a couple of days. I didn’t have to take down our shade sail completely and send back all of the parts of the old set before getting a new set which was wonderful. We just got the new one and replaced the old one and we were good to go.I winch set up is so easy to install. Can be tightened more than just hooks and is easier to take down whenever you prefer to have open skies above!

The cables have broken from wear because of the friction of rubbing against the stainless wall anchors. The wire is definitely the weakest point of this. almost immediately the plastic coating was breaking off. Could use a couple of connectors for the wire added to this kit, as they are like 20 cents each it wouldn't add much cost to it but save a trip to the hardware store. The screws are too short unless you have and exposed chunk of wood right there. the turnbuckles are good but there there should be another one included with this kit.

Put up shade sail using included wires to connect. First gusts of wind had the wires come apart at the sleeves. Had to remodify after a trip to the hardware store to purchase more heavy duty sleeves. Luckily the blowing sail with caribiners attached didn't whack someone in the face! Bought this kit thinking it would be heavy duty and save me time. Do yourself a favour and reinforce all your wires with heavy duty sleev before attaching. Don't trust the sleeves making wire end loops from the company.

The hardware for the most part works alright. The wire is where the issue lies. It is very thin gauge and after about a month or two it ripped in the wind. You may be better off getting the parts separately and a thinker gauge wire that will last longer. The wires are also quite long and not adjustable.
