These are the best rain jackets — this is the 4th I have purchased for my children. They fit true to size and the materials hold up great to general kid abuse. My son’s rain coat fit from kindergarten to mid year of 3rd grade in rainy southern weather where it is used and abused frequently!! I only replaced it (with the same coat) due to a growth spurt, not a breakdown of the coat itself.I throw these suckers in the wash machine & dryer with no special treatment, they are wadded up in backpacks, thrown around on the playground — truly put through the wringer! The only wear-and-tear that shows up is the mesh lining can get stuck on the Velcro of the zipper area, and then becomes a bit worn/fuzzy over time. It doesn’t affect the function and is only visible on the inside of the coat. (I still always choose the mesh lining version because it’s a lot more breathable than the cheaper no-lining rain coats.)Five out of five stars - will be buying these forever!

Autistic grandson doesn't like some materials against skin but he loves this raincoat. Sleeves are a little long for him but we just roll up. This is his second one. He out grew first one. He likes the hood cause he doesn't like the rain hitting his head!

My son wears 10-12/medium and the medium jacket fits him well. It looks nice and the red color is not only his favorite, but helps him be more visible in gloom or crowds. It’s good quality and I like the effectiveness of the hood.

This rain coat is made of slippery silky light weight fabric that exudes quality. It doesn’t feel plasticky like others. The inside is lined with a netting layer for breath ability. It has a few lines of reflective piping on the outside so others can see you in dim lit situations. It’s a slim fit cut and hugs your torso. Most importantly it keeps you dry in the rain. Another excellent product from a reputable brand, Columbia.

This is an amazing quality rain jacket. You can tell it’s a quality piece right from the start.The material is strong and sewn properly. The seams are accurate, and the zippers work flawlessly.Size-wise, this is pretty true to size. The color and style are exactly as pictured.This jacket is very lightweight. So it wouldn’t be enough for cold weather. The inner mesh lining helps my kid stay comfortable, preventing the wet exterior from clinging to the skin.The hood is not removable. The sleeves have Velcro at the ends for personal adjustment.As I said, I find this jacket to be of excellent quality.

This is a thin raincoat made of good quality material and the workmanship is top notch. The green color, I got is vibrant. It is a lightweight accessory good for rainy days in summer or warmer days of spring and fall. The thermal protection is not its strong suit but rain protection is great. It is advertised for boys but, I think depending on the color you can use it unisex which I do. It is good fit for 12 year old boy (XL) however sizing could have been more informative since we were not sure what to buy. Overall, good brand name, quality material and nice rain protection on warmer days... Recommended.
