Unlike some other 'reversing fan' models, this one does it properly. The fan mounts rotate 180° so that the fan blades maintain their proper orientation.Fan blades have those curved surfaces for a reason; reversing their spin reverses the added efficiency those curved surfaces add.

I bought this to put in my second floor window and exhaust hot air, so the window air conditioners could do their jobs. What a great idea! I put this on a smart plug so I could easily run it only certain hours. For a small window fan, it does exactly try what I need without wasting electricity. For 7 cents a day with high priced electricity in NYS, I have been able to sleep some nights without running my air conditioner at all! I let this fan run noon to 8 pm, and I can feel it pulling air up the stairwell, as well as it is is pulling out the hot air on the second floor. It is quiet! You have to listen to hear it. I did not use the included muffin screens, since some said they cut down on the flow and the fan fit in my window perfectly while leaving that screen intact. Wish I had bought it sooner. I used to have something similar years ago, but after it died, I forgot to replace it. Worth every penny I spent on this.

This is a good ventilation fan, I like the adjustable width and slide in extenders, to help fit slide down type windows. the screen on the fans helps prevent the fan from sucking in bugs. and you can position the fans individually.I only gave 4 stars because, the fans do not blow that strong. but if your using it to just keep air circulating between room for example, that would be perfect, as the fans are pretty quite.

It fits my window perfectly, and good for what I need them to do. Fans are very loud on high, then they quiet a little, then ramp back up. I don't think they blow as much when it's louder.

Fairly noisy even on low, couldn’t feel any air output even when standing directly infront of fan, on high, small breezes could be felt but sounds like a drone taking off, bottom line, not sure where the air is going but it’s not through the fan!
