I needed a preamp so I could use my xlr mic hooked directly up to my camera for doing things like interviews or podcasts. I didn’t want to go the route of purchasing an expensive digital audio recorder with XLR inputs. The Linkflex looks to fit the bill perfectly. The build quality of this device is actually pretty nice. Feels like a nice high quality plastic that has a brushed feel. You can use this with mics that have either as XLR or ¼ plug. You can even hook up your guitar with the ¼ input and record directly to your phone or other recording device. Another outstanding feature of this device is that there is actually a headphone jack so you can monitor the audio. The little belt clip on the back of the device as well as the included velcro strap is a nice touch so you can be a little more mobile with this setup. If you do use the phantom power feature on this device with your XLR mics that require it you need to make sure you pick up a 9 volt battery to put into the Linkflex so it can actually supply the power you need to use this feature. There is a switch on the side of the Linkflex so you can turn this on or off. Thankfully there is a little LED light on the front of the Linkflex so you know when the phantom power is running so you don’t accidentally damage your mic by using one that doesn’t need phantom power. The Linkflex has a switch that lets you choose between hooking it up to something like a DSLR camera OR a phone. Essentially is a TRS to TRRS switch which is very helpful so you will not need to have a separate adapter to do this as you do with many other devices. As far as the sound quality I think it does a great job. There is next to no latency when monitoring or at least none that I could detect and that is a huge plus. I can’t say exactly what the noise floor is on this device all I know is that through a combination of adjusting the gain and the levels on my recording device and I got sound fantastic sounding audio. I’ve tested with with a Panasonic and Sony mirrorless camera as well as a little Tascam DR-05 recorder and everything worked great with those setups.I can’t really think of an easier and cheaper way to really upgrading your audio recording in videos than picking up an inexpensive XLR mic and this device. Plug that directly into your camera with the Linkflex and it really couldn’t be easier. It will sound miles better than your in-camera audio!I would certainly recommend.

Does everything it says, all you need to plug professional mics into your phone and tablet, great product so far.The switches on the side are hard to read and find, I am an engineer so I am always looking to improve products. It would help if the switches were on the top and larger so its easier to operate. Not a big issue but would be five stars if this interface would be fixed.

Disappointed. It does not give enough power output for a decent level of volume. No mic with a 3.5mm either TRS or TRRS with an adapter works on this. I plugged in several different mics with different adapters and none of them work. You have to use the XLR input and even then not enough power is supplied. Volume is too low even with the adjustment knob all the way up. It also does nothing when plugged into my phone or tablet. With these other positive reviews I wonder if I got a dud. I replaced the battery 3xs. Tried various mics and devices. 🙁

This great little box converts XLR signals from a microphone and converts to a 3.5mm jack for much easier audio recording. Comica LinkFlex AD2 is a simple solution for rigging up your audio setup. XLR microphones give you a wide range of great options from cardioid to hyper cardioid. Most DSLR or Mirrorless cameras don't have XLR inputs though. That is where Comica AD2 comes it.The downside is that is doesn't have a rechargeable battery. It requires 9V D batteries that will eventually run down. It doesn't have a battery indicator so I don't know how long it will last, but I have used it for a couple weeks and it seems fine. The gain knob is a great feature. The high end of the gain knob does introduce some noise into the signal, but it is a very clean signal at low gain levels. Which is great for a budget Comica audio interface.

Pues NO!

I think this thing is underrated for what it is because it allows you to plug XLR phantom power mics into your phone portably which a lot of. There's a lot of bigger devices that don't really do it as cleanly as this does. It's just a straight out cable that goes right into your phone and you can use this in other applications too. I've used this to add signals to my acoustic guitar ramp so I can send three acoustic guitar signals to one amplifier which is Overkill but it allows me to do that and there's no other way for me to do that and there's a lot of other things you can do with this. This being a headphone out this having a headphone out and having the out it allows you. There's a lot of versatility allowed in this thing and you can run in a model. There's a lot of switches on it that allows you to change the modes. It's a really great way to pre-amplify your mics into your phone or into your camera. And if you have a phone that has a headphone jack is this gives you like studio level quality audio anywhere you want
