Q: Why can't the water be pushed up and percolated through the coffee? Water gets hot, but percolator does not work! Water does not get pushed up the tube. Water in urn gets hot but none gets pushed up to percolate through ground coffee!
A: Please properly insert the Percolator Filter into the groove at the inner bottom of the coffee urn, so that the water can be able to push up as it heats up. Please check the filter is in the correct position.

We started loaning out our farmland to our church for youth camping and leader retreats.After the first weekend it was clear that we needed a larger coffee pot for all of those people.I highly doubt that we will ever get to a need for 160 cups but it is better to have the capacity and not need it.The most important thing is that it makes good coffee. No sediment.Great design, rugged construction and easy to clean as well.

I bought one in August, liked it so bought this one in September. It is now November, and they are BOTH leaking, and one is literally falling apart! Seemed solid when I bought the first one after first use. That sure didn't last. I use them once a week, and they have lasted only 3 months, and 2 months. And the return window is closed. Unbelievable! Why does Amazon even tolerate junk like this!?!!

Put in 10 cups of coffee grounds, as recommended. 90 minutes later and some of the grounds aren't even touched! And the coffee tastes like weak tea.Entirely unacceptable.I did everything correctly as specified in the directions and I either got a bad machine or this thing just does a poor job at percolating coffee.On this particular one, there is a little lip where it shoots up and then comes out... that isn't working.
