I think this is really cute for a kitchen counter and the lid fits on tight to keep out any smell. I bought the compostable bags to go with it.

This sits on my counter and I use it everyday.Super cute and sturdy!My kitchen scraps go in this container daily and I carry it out to my chickens every evening. This product gets lots of use on my homestead and so far has held up well.

Works for what I needed and keeps the smell in! I've already dropped it and the lid stayed on, it held up great. It's perfect for taking kitchen scraps to the chickens too!

I’ve been composting for years, but I usually stop for the winter. I love this little can, so I can continue to compost during the cold months! I’ve actually filled it up sooner than I expected but I’ll take my compost out to my bigger bin. Love this. And it’s beautiful! It doesn’t look terrible sitting on my counter!

Love the look of this. if you are worried about the smell, this may be your bin. snug fit will help control the odors. For us, though, the lid is just too challenging to get on and off on the daily. It doesn't pull off without two hands most of the time.**update: kept this on one of my decorative shelves for the color. It looks great.Worth noting that the lid is just fine if there is no bag over the sides. Seller was also responsive, which I appreciate.

I can leave it on my countertop without emptying for several days. No odor or leakage.
