Food e.g. fiber stuck under blades/ screws (in red circles) and hard to clean. I have to soak for hours and use nails to scrape. Paint worn out after less than 10 times of use. I cleaned it after every use. Otherwise it can be smelly even I put only fresh veggie scrapes in. My friend has different brand and he did not have to clean. The lid that I saw one reviewer complained and I was concerned when purchasing. It's not a problem but just close it softly and it will catch the lock every time.Update 12/18The seller reached out on the cleaning issue. They listened to a customer and will improve in future product in which I was impressed because not many would do that nowsaday. They tried ways to resolve the problem. Just let it soak in water. For paint on the blade it's ok as it's just cosmetic. I even think they just use bare aluminum. Hey this is composter (hence garbage) not something we will eat. I still recommend the product though especially at this price point. Bump up one star due to excellent customer service.

I was skeptical at first, but this works perfect.Shipping was on time, next day and price was right.I wanted to compost all of my kitchen waste into compost, because I raise butterflies and needed this to compost my host plants and nectar plants.The first time I used it I set it, I added the water and yeast. The composter did exactly what it was supposed to do. What I didn't understand was that this compost would be damp. I stored it in a bucket but because of not using it in a timely manner, it molded.I reread the directions and did the single treatment and the compost is perfect for what I want. It is dry and I can mix it in with the potting soil.I would recommend this kitchen composter to anyone who is tired of putting kitchen wastes in the garbage disposal. Doing that is pouring money down the drain.

I use this unit daily and love it. It uses less power than i expected and the filters are long lasting, no smell. Everything i put in it comes out cooked and sanitized and ready for my chickens to consume. They are hsppy i am happy.

Easy to use and maintain. I also like the texture of the composte. This model is perfect size for me but bigger families may want a larger capacity model.

This electric compost bin is one of the best products that I have reviewed.First, delivery was super fast. It arrived in one day. The unit is a lot heavier than expected. It can fit on the kitchen counter but it does take up space. I put mine in the garage.Simple operation. Insert the filled bucket, turn on the machine, and hit the auto button. I have used it twice since I got the unit. Both times, the machine auto-set it to 6 hours. The touch screen has a count-back timer. It will auto-shutoff when done. It does not make loud noises and does not emit any odor.It is amazing to see food scraps turned into compost in less than 8 hours. No more waiting!!I do not store food scraps in the bucket. Instead, I collect them separately and put them in the bucket when ready to compost, This helps keep the bottom of the bucket dry and protect the motor and blades from moisture.I am pleased with the ease of use and the effectiveness of this machine. Highly recommended if you do composting.
