The highest roosting bar in our coop is close to a wall, so that wall gets a little...ehhh... nasty (if you own chickens, you know what I mean). I was surprised at how well this cleaned off the wall. I also used it for the coop floor. It made the coop feel look and smell brand new after a good wipe down (and rinse) with this product (our coop is made of resin, I don't know how well it works on other surfaces).

This is basically a mild soap that doesn’t have a lot of extra chemicals or smells. It makes it a nice option for cleaning the coop area. Spray where you need it, scrub if necessary, and rinse clean with water. It’s easy to use and seems to be pretty effective.

I recently tried the Wee Away Coop Refresher for Chickens as part of my winterizing routine for the chicken coop. This product is essentially an unscented enzymatic cleaner rather than a deodorizer or spray-and-leave refresher. The average chicken keeper should not remove everything and rinses everything with a hose every month or even every other month, but I may be mistaken. My usual routine involves a deep clean in the spring and late fall, with regular maintenance consisting of removing waste and replacing litter throughout the year.Since I planned on doing a deep clean, it wasn't too much trouble to spray this product on first, let it sit, and then finish the job. True to its promise, there was no discernible scent. The spray was easy to use and effectively loosened dried-on and caked areas. I can't confirm that it disinfected everything, but it did make the roosting areas feel cleaner. After spraying everything down, I let the product sit for about an hour. Now that everything is rinsed and new bedding is in place, the coop smells fresh and clean inside.

My cat missed the litter box and peed on the plastic mat I use to catch stray litter. I sprayed this cleaner on the mat, let it sit for several minutes, then rinsed it off. However, the urine smell remained strong. If this cleaner can't handle cat urine, I'm doubtful it's doing much more than just wetting down caked-on poop. I'm disappointed, as I've had much better success with other enzymatic cleaners.

I have 5 chicken and clean the coop about every 3-4 months depending on if my chickens are hot messes. This spray smells like disinfectant and cleans ok. I read that I just need to spray and wipe off the poop and rinse well. Well, it works to an extent, removes the poop, but there is a lot of elbow grease of scrubbing, the spray softens the poop for removal. This is probably best if its a nice day, and I can spray down everything with water and wait for things to dry. Using this over the fall and winter isn't idea since I need to rinse it off. Overall the coop refresher is ok, I can use bleach and water for the same effect.

The Wee Away Coop Refresher has to be rinsed off, which makes it a bit tricky to use as I intended, however, I realized for their outdoor spaces and containers that are bombarded this worked well. As long as I could rinse, I could use it on their food trough container, perches, etc. However we found it is a good help for the kids (and our) boots and crocs we wear into the chicken coop and enclosure 2-3 times a day. The bottom of our boots and crocs were filled with poo from our visits so we now spray the bottoms of the boots with this enzyme. In the evening, we spray and clean them off. It tends to break up the goop and rinses away easily where previously it clogged the tracks.

I got this thinking it would be a “coop refresher†since that’s what the title and description states. However, the bottle says to use it for cleaning when chickens aren’t in the coop. You also have to rinse it off which isn’t a “refresher†but a cleaner. It’s basically an overpriced cleaner in a spray bottle so I think the title and description are misleading. It doesn’t work any better than soap and water in my opinion, making it overpriced as well. I won’t get this again.

This is my 3rd time ordering a Wee Away brand product because they're so darn good. I have to be honest, I don't own any chickens -- months back I ordered a different product of theirs (enzyme cleaner) for my gerbil enclosure, and found it so effective yet gentle I started using it for general household cleaning purposes. This Coop Refresher is made of only a few ingredients like water, a surfactant, and borax, and it works so well for cleaning areas of my floor that have stuck on messes (like at the base of the trashcan), as well as on my walls. The spray is ever-so-slightly abrasive --from the borax, I assume-- which helps lift grime, gunk, and stains better than most cleaners without any damage. I really can't recommend this brand enough. When you're done scrubbing the chicken enclosure, try using it on your coop!
