First, the clippers didn’t even come with oil only a bottle to put oil in. Thank goodness I’m a cosmetologist and have clipper oil.Second, after I oiled, and set the tension, I got started and it was so hot to the touch within 3 strokes my horse jumped out from underneath it.After cleaning, oiling and spraying with cooling spray, I started back clipping and it kept running so hot steam washing boiling up from it when I would tried to oil it. After repeating this about 3-4 times, the blade jumped off balance and wouldn’t cut. I was done with hose and ended finishing the job with my hair clippers. I should have done that in the first place. Now the company won’t send me my money back🤬

I’ve been using the DODAER Cordless Horse Clippers, and they get the job done really well. The six speed settings make it easy to switch between light trims and thick coat grooming. The two rechargeable batteries last a good while, so I don’t have to stop and recharge too often. The motor is strong but not too loud, which helps keep my horse calm. It is a bit on the heavy side, but it feels solid and well-made. Overall, it’s a great choice for anyone needing reliable, cordless clippers for thick coats.

These feel cheap. The plastic, the batteries the whole thing. It's a little awkward to handle and it is not a quiet clipper. The blades that come are not for fine work at all. I think they use shearing in their description a few times and they remind me more of sheep shearers than horse clippers. The only thing I like about them is that they are cordless. And adding to the overall feeling of cheapness, for the price you pay for these, they don't even give you a little tiny oil sample to get you started. They give you a big empty bottle. I have other clippers, so I have some spray oil on hand but I don't think I've every purchased clippers that didn't have at least a tiny little sample of oil in the case.

Yes these are horse clippers and no I do not have a horse. But I do have outdoor fat cats (short haired domestics) who get dirty and every summer I like to give them a buzz cut. I love that this is cordless which my previous clippers were not. I suppose clippers are loud and this is no different so your cat will get startled at first so get them acclimated to the sound. I didn't think they got any hotter or cooler than my previous wired clippers. The battery does make this a much larger and heavier option though.

These clippers are not horse friendly, at least for my horse. They are extremely loud and most horses would not tolerate them. Other clippers I have used in the past have been much quieter to the point you almost cannot hear them. The blades are not easy to adjust. The Clippers do not come with a variety of blade sizes to get the correct and proper clip required for horses. They may be good for sheep. I don’t have sheep so I cannot try them on that animal. One good thing is the rechargeable battery which alleviates the need for extension cords, which can always be tricky around animals. The batteries also do not clip in and out of the tool easily. There are no safety labels anywhere on the device and not even a name brand put on it. I also inspected the batteries and they are only 2000 mah and not 2500 mah. The packs anre considerably smaller than the ones you see on the pictures. And the “oil bottle†that comes with no oil is just a glue bottle again with no labels of any sort.

They smoked up the 1 st time using them. I was clipping my mini. They locked up & started smoking. I had only made 3 swipes. Not useable poor quality

The only thing I don't like about these Clippers is how loud they are, other than that they are perfect. Our horses react very well to these despite the volume. They are sharp and strong enough to cut through super course and thick hair, and yet delicate enough that you can it wont hurt your animals. We were able to use these to get a super thick matt of hair off of one of our outside cats hindlegs, and she was fine with the clippers as well.I haven't had to charge the batteries yet, because I topped them off once they arrived, and I've only an hour and a half of use into the first battery and it still runs like a champ. I love that this also comes with a second battery, but my favorite thing about these is that they are cordless, there is nothing worse than trying to step over and negotiate around a knee-high power cord when your are trying to work.At the end of the day, I am very happy with these and think these are essential to good horse care.

These are pretty loud clippers, so depending on the animal, that could be a problem. It comes in a nice solid case and seems sturdy.
