I've never heard of a nibbler before. In the past I used shears to cut up sheet metal and the results have not exactly been pretty. This nibbler works using a DeWalt 20 volt battery and being cordless definitely makes it easier to work with sheet metal. This definitely helps cut more cleanly and quickly.

I have been wanting one of these for a long time. I do a lot of hobby metal work, and having to cut sheet metal sheets with a grinder can start to get tiresome.Having this tool has made all of that way better. Cuts evenly, and can make curved cuts as well. The biggest bonus for me is the fact that it's on the Dewalt platform, so I didn't have to buy batteries or chargers, or add another charger to my already overcrowded shelf.Love the cutting ability and makes good clean cuts.

This tool works, no complaints there. Was semi surprised to find that it comes with a hard plastic shell case, which is kindof a nice touch which is less common these days, but overall appreciated, and it's secure enough to hold the tool and it's few little extra components safely. In terms of actual performace this tool does what it says it does, it makes quick work of thin sheet metal. To get your expectations right, this tool is best suited if you want to cut a piece of sheet metal, and you don't mind losing about 1/4" of material from the cut line in the process, it will cut a straight line easily, and it's not loud or cumbersome to use at all, that said it surely is dangerous so do be extra careful when using it. It is able to cut sheet metal without distorting the sheet, it can cut straight and it can also do some curves if needed. That said, it does not leave you with a clean edge, it's not as bad of an edge as what you see in the product images, but it definitely needs deburring and some clean up if you want it to be smooth at all. Overall this item provides a good value at $109 dollars.

I had a stair handrail project and the client wanted something artistic and unique.I used 2mm AL and did some custom cut outs for the handrail and this worked fantastically!The cut was pretty clean / smooth and finishing as a result went quick and easy!As a DeWalt gut this was a no brainer and I couldn't be happier!This is a really well made tool with good weight and balance that make it a joy to use!If you're looking this is a nice, different tool that I am happy to have at my disposal now and in the future.... I'll definitely MAKE uses for it since I know how easy it is!

If you haven’t used a nibbler before, it makes very short work out of cutting thin sheet metal.This one works with ~12ga copper, ~14ga steel, and 18ga stainless steel. Steel drums are easy to cut with it.Currently I don’t think DeWalt even makes this tool for their 20v batteries.While I like this tool, it isn’t perfect. The included case should have the ability to hold the complete extra cutting mechanism (round and square are included) instead of requiring that you disassemble it. The instructions also leave a lot to be desired.That said, the tool works great and the price is reasonable. If you do sheet metal work and have DeWalt batteries, this is a great product to consider.

I'm satisfied that this tool should do the jobs that I want to use it for. It nibbles well, it comes with a square and a nibbler and a round ended nibbler and it feels fairly heavy duty so I don't have any reason to doubt that it should do the job on my metal roof; so far it works great on the scraps that I've been testing it on.
