I needed a small lathe to turn pen kits and other small items in my tiny shop.I bought this item thinking it would probably be problematic and not last long. Boy was I wrong. The lathe has been modified since this pic was taken but it works beautifully for small items. I have had the lathe in operation for well over a years and have turned many pens and razor handles on it.Still works great. Would not hesitate to buy again.

A Chuck key lanyard, to keep the key with the chuck, would be a great feature.

Used this in the attic to drill a hole to run cable to a bedroom. The area where I needed to drill was tight and I realized that there were double top plates on the framing. This attachment on my Dewalt drill along with a forstner bit got the job done.

Attached a 6" drill bit, clamped this device in place on a board, raised up so that the chuck can rotate, not attached to a power drill. Rotated it by hand. The tip of the drill bit moves in a conical circle about 1/4" diameter as if the drill bit was bent. Tried a second drill bit. Same thing. The drill bits are straight and work fine on my drill press. On examination, I can clearly see the chuck rotating conically. it's bent or just manufactured poorly.I waited too long to try this out. The return window closed. Total loss.

I was doing some very heavy drilling and the old one finally stripped the gears. No shame in that at all. Held up well under 15 years of use. The new one looks identical, so I'm hoping to get just as much use out of it as well. (It'll probably outlast me).

Day 1 this tool worked great and saved me a lot of extra work. Very heavy feeling. I thought it would last for years. Second use (month'ish later), the head was locked up the all a sudden it broke away from the shaft and the head no longer spins at all. Very disapointed.

If you need an angled drill, this seems like a good attachment to get for that result. My only nitpick with it is that the chuck key seems a little small for the chuck.

My old one just broke because I had to big of a bit in it. Had it for years. I just replaced it with the same thing . With the chuck you don't need special bits. I used it once and it broke but again I I need to realize this is for light work only.
