I actually like this slicer/shredder. It gave me very thin, spirally potato slices in two different thicknesses with no problems at all. It also disassembles for washing by twisting the chute from the motor. But the ONLY think keeping the blades in place is a tiny rubber plug (see the photo). If you lose that, the entire unit is useless because the blades won't stay in place. SO, DO NOT LOSE THE TINY RUBBER PLUG!!!!
