Works great so far. We bought an additional blade that is not serrated to slice cheese. So far so good.

We had this slicer years ago and when it broke we couldn't find it anywhere. We tried about 6 different slicers and didn't like any of them. We came across this on Amazon and ordered it and it was so great to have this slicer again that we just ordered another one just to put away in case this one ever breaks. It is the best slicer you could ever own.

While this isn't labeled a "verified purchase," I own one I received as a Christmas gift over ten years ago and loved it. I worked it hard, too--not just an occasional special meal prep, but I use it three to five times a day, and not only for meat--yes, you can cut paper-thin slices of rare roast beef, but I also depend on it for perfect slices of tomato and onion. Two days ago it stopped working, and I figured it was because it's so old and has been used so heavily, but I was immediately aware of how much I've come to depend on it, so I was pleasantly surprised when I dug up the user manual and learned it has a replaceable fuse. Once I replaced that, it roared back to life, to my great relief. Pretty impressive considering how disposable most appliances have become.
