Please use the butane canister, which has a metal ring around the top of it with about a 1/2" slit missing. (Canister with snap joint)

I got this to replace my last torch.Word of advice, when your literally playing with fire... Don't go for the cheapest option...It exploded twice.Then I bought this torch and it's way more functional and keeps the fire going in the direction it's supposed to.Very comfortable and sturdy, flame is very consistent and can be adjusted to a fine or larger surface area.Would buy again, 5 stars.

This torch was small, but strong. I did not use it for anything big after having tried it once. It took forever to light, so I recommend using a bigger flame/torch. The small flame made food look pretty and taste yummy. I don't believe it is a good idea to keep using it every day though. I have had this torch for a few weeks now and it has not broken on me yet. Probably because I don't use it that much. It is a perfect size for hands to hold comfortably. The only bad thing about this torch is that it did not come with the canister. I had to buy my own and when it is gone, I will have to buy it again. There should have been one to use and once it runs out, I can go buy a new one instead or at least have a picture of how the canister should look like in order to be able to use this torch. There are no information on what canister to use either. I had to find it in this description. I was told that there are different ones to use for this torch. I just was not able to find out until I bought a whole bunch to try on. It has the LONG UNIVERSAL TIP, but the employees at the store showed me a few that are different. It is really easy to use once you get the right canister though. The safety lock makes me feel safer because I know that it will stop if any accidents were to happen. I like this torch very much. I don't have to go around carrying a big torch when I can just carry this one. Thank you!

The torch lit every time so far. The flame gets hot, super hot, doesn’t fluctuate so much like some of the other torches. Gets up to 2500 degrees. If you get one mine came already pre-filled with butane. Highly recommend this torch so far! If this changes I will update my review.**UPDATE 10/20/19**So, after using this torch a maximum of 15 times the flame adjustment switch has gone out and the torch now requires 3 or so clicks to start. Very dissatisfied with the quality and longevity of this torch. It is now useless and will be retired to the garbage can.**UPDATE 11/10/19**Contacted the seller about the torch flame adjustment switch breaking and it not lighting. Their customer service was very friendly with prompt responses. Jenna was great and shipped out a replacement to me with no questions asked.

I was in the market for a reasonably priced butane torch. The other one I bought on Amazon broke, and they raised the price $20 more than I paid in only a few months!So after a lot of searching! Weeks worth! 😠I decided on this one since it was very similar to my previous one.After receiving the torch, I noticed it was empty. Seems like a smarter way to ship them, as my other one came full. So I fill it up like I’ve done so many other times with the other one… but, as soon as I pushed the button to light it? Huge flames came bursting out! Not only was this flame about two feet long, it was very wide! My husband was with me, and it scared the heck out of both of us!So I let it sit overnight thinking maybe the butane needs to settle. Next morning, “I go outside this time!†And every time I push the button, butane is streaming out like a mini hose! Then it lights again, but same huge flame. But this time it’s going between normal flame and bursting ginormous flame! 🤨Yet again, I decide that maybe it just needs to take a time out and settle the heck down! My next attempts were, two weeks later, then 30 days later, then two months, all resulting in the exact same outcome.I use these butane torches to pop the bubbles on my fluid art paintings. I cannot use this torch ever! When it has a normal flame and you move it at all/or not 😆 it becomes a flame thrower! Not cool!I always stop before they’re full too, because I don’t want butane coming out!Maybe I just got a defective one, I don’t know.But if you’re looking for squirt gun that squirts butane, or a flame thrower?! You’ve found it!

I like the design and light weight of this torch head for my jewelry soldering. The ease of just adding a head, instead of refilling and refilling. However, my first torch stopped working and after readjustment it worked, but only a broad flame. I reordered; but keeping the old head for casting work. I can't get it to give me a direct flame anymore. I hope my second one keeps true.

I have a small torch I use for dabbing and wanted to buy something I could attach directly to a butane canister instead of having to refill the tank, but unfortunately, this will NOT work for that. I almost lit myself/my entire house on fire. The flame is LARGE! Perfect for cooking/camping, NOT for a tiny dab rig. This felt more like a flamethrower, I swear. It was frightening. lol.
