Be careful holding onto flashlight with the strap, that thin metal ring stretches right out out of shape and the strap breaks loose! But you CAN replace it with a new "O" ring, which I already have, so I'll try to improve that myself. It takes 3 AAA batteries. The light worked. Scanned the cat first to check for ringworm, used it on some vintage glass to check if it glowed, and it worked it made some of it glow. I will update review as I use the flashlight more. I wouldn't NOT buy it just because of the stretchy cheap ring issue, though, because that's an easy fix for me. Can probably pirate a ring off an old key chain to fix it, too.

Not only is this a great price for a two pack, but it works very well for finding dirty spots around the house. I have a cat who sometimes urinates outside of the litter box, and this helped to light up/find the urine right away!

It gets the job done but it takes FOREVER!Adding on to my previous review, I've changed my rating to 5 stars. This flashlight did not work for what I was needing it for. However, the company was kind enough to offer me a full refund. I appreciate the great customer service!The company gets my five star rating.

Update- received a full refund and an apology from the company so I am changing the review from 1 star to 4 stars.These lights are garbage. Both broke the first time we used them. One had the spring fly out while I was using it for a presentation. It's terrible.

While small it does what I need it to do which is use to walk around the house at night without turning on/off all the lights. Relatively bright for a handheld, cheap cost, not build.
