These potholders are not only pretty, but nice and thick. They work very well. Plus the little loop makes it easy to hang up next to the microwave and next to the oven. The pack of 4 is a perfect number. Two hot pads for each oven.

I recently purchased a second set of these potholders, this time in navy. Our son bought us our first pair in gray years ago. These are the best potholders I've ever used because they somehow insulate the heat of the dish from your hands better than other potholders. They are thin, yet they block heat transfer.While the potholders are washable, doing so does start to erode the metallic finish over time (over years, not months). These potholders are an excellent value.

I have taken to putting patchwork on one side of these great potholders as a fun slow- sewing project, and everyone to whom I give them loves them. They are sewn together solidly and have a great heat resistant side made of special fabric. I will be buying more for the holidays !
