I was skeptical that this would work. I have a cargo trailer with tandem torsion axles. It rides very smoothly even over rough terrain. The wheels were not balanced and I could feel vibrating at certain speeds. These glass beads really work to completely eliminate any vibration. I even bought an extra for the spare which I will rotate with the others. This is a worthwhile investment.

Tried as a last resort since no shop around my area can balance my model A wheel/tire, not easy to install with tube tires (took 30 minutes per tire) but results seem good. I can’t detect any shimmy or vibration at 45, which is my max comfortable speed.

Purchased to use in flatbed trailer tires. So far I am impressed with how it works. Trailer does not shake & vibrate like it used to. Installation is a different story. Took a little bit to learn how to get beads to actually go into the tire, but once I figured it out, it was not terrible bad.

I could only afford two new tires at this time. Don't be surprised if the tire dealer refuses to add this for you. Most chain tire dealerships and their tire techs are unfamiliar with beads. I had to wait to get home to install the beads, the hard way. You have to let all the air out of the tire first. Remove the valve. Dump one bag into the bottle. Connect the clear rubber hose to the wheel stem and the other to the bottle nozzle. Let gravity take over... but you may need to squeeze the bottle some to help push the beads in. It'll take a few minutes so have patience. When you're done, remove the bottle and hose, put the new red tipped valve in and refill with air.

First, these DO follow sound and proven physics, so they should work in principal, BUT:The quantities in the charts available, published online and included, give very generic numbers, based only on the width of the tire and type of bike. For a dual-sport with 21/18" wheels with rim locks, 2 oz are given for the front wheel and 3 for the back. However, the weight required for the static balance I did before was 4.6 oz and 5.7 respectively. Therefore, double the amount spec'ed and no guidance for what to do if it's not enough, nor how to tell, etc.The product comes with special valves with "filters" to keep stuff out of the valve, which are really just a little cap added to the end. They didn't hold air after a day of riding and, worse, I COULDN'T GET THEM OUT of the valve stems without resorting to drastic means, namely pliers to essentially rip them out. They would unscrew, then click back into the stem so the only thing to grab was the plunger tip, but the threads reengaged each time! Final extraction revealed the "filters" to be gone and the tips of the valves to be bent, preventing them from sealing and catching in the threads preventing the valve from coming out.If twice as much as is specified is what's actually required, the expense is not worth the trouble. Now, I'm not sure what to do with the junk in my tires, since I'm not convinced it's doing what it's supposed to and the wheels can no longer be balanced conventionally.Originally, Counteract said I could get a refund without having to return the product. Amazon requests the product back, though, in order to refund the purchase price. Then Counteract customer service was unwilling to do anything about it, finally saying they weren't accepting any responsibility because I had to weigh it out myself. As if. Even if I were an idiot unable to use a digital scale, there's still the crappy valves.

Most of the time the tire is auto-balanced via these beads. Once in a while I have to slow to under 35mph to redistribute the Itty-Bitty glass beads around. Sometimes hitting a bump will pop these and redistribute, same with ceramics. In near 20 years never had this issue with the round ceramic beads simply ROLL. These round glass beads are very small and don't get past the tires internal cooling ribs but hit a bump they do.Some are oval-ish, 2 or 3 beads stuck together, oversized blobs and rods. These WILL NOT enter through valve stems smoothly or not at all. VERY FRUSTRATING.Although these glass beads did fill through the 90 degree stem I installed (I re-rounded the flattened 90 degree bend) it took A LOT of tapping to keep them moving through said stem._ODDLY they advertise NOT toput these glass beads in a car tire yetthey show a picture of A CAR. (???).WORTH IT?mmm ya, but I will definitely go back the the ceramics.

I couldn't find any shop that would attempt to balance the tires on my 1929 Ford. These beads work perfectly. I can now drive 55-60 mph with no shaking.

I was kind of sceptical at first even though there are many YOU TUBE videos out there. I decided to put them into my new tires on my Burgman 650. Before it was starting to get shimmy at about 110 km, but after I inserted the right amount ( 2 OZ as per chart I downloaded and removed all the stick on weights) I tested it out and even at 135 km per hour it was smooth. It worked perfectly. I highly recommend it.

You need to know that feeding these through the value stem is impossible unless you want to do one at a time! You need to break your bead and toss them in. Easy to do with a 2x4, scisor jack and a piece of rope.. I used these on 33" Super Swamper TSL classics and its taken a ton of shake out of these open lug tires.. My teeth no longer rattle at 65mph!
