The coupler looks just as good as the original from 2012. Fit tight and worked perfectly putting it together. Others talk about it being soft, this one is actually harder than the original. We'll see how it performs. I'm getting ready to run it for several hours.iOne bit of advice. You need to make sure it fits together tightly and is lined up correctly. Measure side to side and top to bottom to insure it is lined up or it will fell prematurely.UpdateI have ran this couple for close to 20 long rough hours now. I have absolutely abused this coupler having to mow tall really damp grass. I have choked the blower, had slugs of matted wet grass hit the blower and really load the engine. Just really abuse the lawn vac. Today while finishing a yard I picked up some hard stem of a vine and shear the coupler. It did its job!!! I can't complain with what I put this thing though. It held up to the abuse, then did its job. I have another one ordered to replace this one. Hopefully this one will last longer, if I don't abuse it !!!

Terrible product., It broke within 30 minutes of continuous use. Will be returning as defective.

They seem a little soft and I went through 3 of them in one Season on my leaf vacuum...to be fair I did collect 70 cube yard of leafs and some of area nad never been vacuum before and it sucked up unwanted debris that Caused their failure....
