My 10yo has a booty so we sized up and ordered an 11Y. The waist and hips fit great but we had to cut about 2 inches off the leg hem line so they wouldn’t be too long. They were sized correctly, we just had to alter for our own custom fit. If you prefer the short inseam look, I think these might be a little long, even if your kiddos is 11. Altering was a cinch if you have even the slightest sewing ability.

My son loves these shorts. When it’s warm enough, he wears them a lot.I’m also a teacher and I see many students with these style of shorts—middle and high schoolers! I guess they are on trend!

My Grandson picked these shorts for his 12th Bday. The color was deceiving as the pictured ones on line are Carolina Blue and the ones he received were a Steel Blue. He was disappointed because that is why he chose them.The shorts themselves are nice.

My son is small for 8th grade and these fit perfectly. Easy to wash and he loves them. Bought them in several colors. Nice and cool for the hot weather.

He’s 11 & picked them out himself. I think he likes to be a bit “edgy†😂 They seem to run a little large but then fit great.

Although these shorts look great after washing the elastic band in the waste gets all bunched up and makes it impossible to wear.
