I was given a favorite ceiling fan by my dear grandmother maybe 30 years ago. It was out of my budget at the time but I have relocated and reinstalled it no fewer that through 8 moves. Well, two years ago the shellac on the old blades started peeling and that made balancing the fan functionally impossible. And finding an exact match for the blades was also impossible. As a sailor, we love teak. These new blades are beautiful and have a vintage look to them, matching my fan perfectly. I filled 2 of the 3 original holes on each blade with 2-part epoxy resin mixed with wood flour as thickener. Then I redrilled new holes, using a stepped bit for precision, which also worked perfectly. To my amazement, the fan was balanced perfectly upon the new installation. Couldn't be happier!!

Really nice looking blades, but not quite what the photos shows. They as a pretty solid, more mahogany color than Distressed Walnut, but unless you are pretty handy or have fan arms with 4 1/2 inch holes at the wide part, beware. NOBODY sells arms with 4 1/2 holes, and if you find them, the mounting holes on the fan motor won't fit. They can be redrilled with very little of the original 4 1/2 holes showing, but takes a little skill. We'll see how they hold up on the exterior application. But they are very nice looking blades.

The photo I attached it what I got nowhere near what was in the picture that I ordered. It is a black fan blade with some very small smears of color slapped on it. For $95 so not what I expected. Going to have a friend try and work it over and see how it turns out. I did not sign up for a do it yourself project.

We had a Craftmade fan in our new home and it was painted all silver. We thought looked like a spaceship ready to land in our living room, which wasn't exactly the theme we were going for. After we replaced the old blades with these wood blades, it looks much better. One side of the blade is distressed, the other is not. We chose to put the smooth side down to match our wood cabinets. These blades fit our fan perfectly, even though the blades are a little wider than the original silver blades. They were fairly easy to install, but easier to do with two people. We are so glad we have a new look we can live with, without replacing the entire fan.
