Unique and beautiful product deep enough for some apples and oranges.It just needs a good cleaning once you take it out of the packaging.I don’t know what was on it or that smell but it wasn’t pleasant.

This bowl is beautiful and high quality. I did not notice a weird smell. I'm happy with the size. However, I was really expecting something fairly round shaped. With that organically looking ruffled edge, like the picture. The bowl I got was squarish...kind of looks like an apple? I didn't want a square bowl. I bought the bowl to be decorative, not functional, so it's only job was to pretty and interesting. In the end, I decided to return it since it wasn't quite what I was expecting as far as appearance.

I bought this bowl as a gift or just to use for fruits or nuts. Impossible. The finish is not very professional and it exudes and floral aroma I would not want food to pick up. I do not recommend.
