RECOMMENDATION:Thumbs up: Pretty strong and the action is fairly smoothTHE GOOD:1. This rod looks good, especially if you can hide the mounting brackets.2. Fairly strong at 25lb rating, although it can sag a little if you load it up.3. This compares favorably to other valet rods that I already have in my closet.THE BAD:1. The brackets are the least desirable-looking part of the rod, and would have been nice if they had included covers for those. However, the product listing does do a good job of showing you how it will look once it is mounted.

This stainless steel valet rod is excellent quality, well made, and super useful. I got this on a whim but have fallen in love with it after receiving and using it. It was easy to install with the included instructions and hardware. I decided to install it in my son's room so that he can set out his clothes for the day the night before, since he struggles in the morning due to his severe ADHD and Asperger's syndrome. This has helped streamline his morning process. Overall, I'm happy with this product and feel like it's worth the money based on the quality.

Valet rods really amp your closet or laundry room up a notch! When recessed, you don't even notice them, but they are so handy.I use them to hold clothes on hangers as I pull them out of the dryer, or to hold something that needs to hang and air dry. In our closet, we use them to prep our clothes for an event, a day at work, clothes as I iron, or even to hold something that's been worn for a very short time, and we will wear again within a couple of days.This rod is plenty thick and sturdy, is glides very smoothly, and gives about 10" of usable space when extended. It is 304 stainless, so it will not rust, and being chrome, you don't have to worry about even stratching off the finish. The slots for mounting are also nice, because, after mounting, you can adjust it for depth and then tighten the screws to hold it in place.

I had no idea how useful this metal rod is. In the evenings before I go to bed I pull out the expandable rod and take out the outfit that I will be wearing the next day, and it saves me a lot of time in the mornings. You just need to make sure that you have clearance so when the clothes are on the rod, they hang and aren’t all bunched up on the bottom, otherwise they can wrinkle. I have one near my laundry area as well and when I iron I use it to hang things until I have finished. It was easy to install, is very sturdy, and takes up very little space.

The hangers are too tight. It takes a lot of force to pull them out.

We had tried this in many locations before we found the right place to install it. Something to think about before you order it.The place I ordered it for wasn't deep enough.Next couple of places we couldn't use it because there was wood trim, so the surface wasn't flush for both places that required it to be screwed to the wall.So we ended up mounting it on a plain T wall in the closet without any trim. Now we are able to slide it out seamlessly. This gave them space to hang many items.If you need to use it to hang clothes that are not 100% dry, this will come in very handy for that, as well.The valet rod is strong and has 4 places for mounting, which really makes it secure. And the rod itself glides out smoothly. Well made. Nice clean finish.We found this worked perfectly for our shorter family member who can't reach the top hanging rod. She's very pleased to be able to reach the rod.

We recently remodeled our walk-in closet. I have been looking for a closet valet for some time now. This stainless-steel closet valet is perfect for what I needed. It is sleek looking and folds back well. It easily pulls out when needed and is very sturdy too. Comes with the hardware to install. Very pleased with this purchase.

This is one of my favorite closet organizational tools! This valet rod is extremely well made and very sturdy. It is easy to install with very clear instructions. It functions perfectly and is reasonably priced. This is quite a space saver and also works well for planning outfits or packing for a vacation. Highly recommend!
