Fastens well to the wall with the supplied hardware. It is retractable and I'm using it at almost the smallest size so it should have been pretty sturdy. Unfortunately it's starting to Bow a little bit in the middle and there is not a tremendous amount of clothes hanging from it

Don’t ever leave reviews for stuff but this product was just that bad I absolutely had to leave a review, This has got to be one of the most flimsy closet rods I have ever seen, I though it would have been a little bit more sturdy but this was like a flimsy aluminum rod it doesn’t look good at all either

Very strong, purchased to use as a vertical support rod for a flimsy wire closet system in new apt. Keeping just incase it collapses again.

Overall this product does what it should for the price. The wall mount brackets are plastic and clearly won’t be holding any kind of weight for long.

I wanted a slide in rod - but, this is not it. However, I had company over the 4th of July so I couldn’t return it.

Broke off my closet wall, not sturdy, maybe ok for baby clothes or anything light weight. Definitely not heavy duty.
