Worked for what I used it for...only thing I dislike was the tap is not long enough for the depth of head bolt hole in a b20z..

Product was exactly as expected. Receive on time although item said it would work for my 01’ Honda crv which it did. My only issue was finding the correct drill bit for the job because the one that came with it was way too small. I ended up purchasing a 9/16†(14, 3mm) drill bit to use to remove my head gasket.

I've got 37 years as a Mechanical Design Engineer with a masters degree. The design of these inserts is terrible. They are a complete waste of time.if your head bolt pulled out now your going to drill the hole out only by the major diameter of the pulled bolt. That leaves stressed and yielded metal in the hole wall. Then your going to tap it with the same pitch thread? So now you've moved the problem hole out by aprox 0.050" on aside and have the same pitch and depth of thread. Only now it's in weakened aluminum. And you expect a different result? Doing the same thing and expecting a different result is the definition of stupid.

The tap that came with this product broke in my engine block right from the get go. Unfortunately it broke deep enough in the block that I couldn't get it out with normal tools, but fortunately, I was able to jimmy rig some tools that were able to get it out. I examined the broken tap afterwards, and it was clear from the fracture lines that the tool arrived partially broken from the get go.Basically, the tap that comes with this kit is likely to be too short and very possibly already partially broken/waiting to break in your block. Don't buy this kit.

over priced the tap is too short for the job and made of weak material better off to buy your own tap and drill bit !

We needed 10 inserts and it only came with 5 .We had to buy more inserts separately .
