There are other stems that look like this that didn't work. Depends on the inner flutes. This one worked perfectly on my old DLC-8S.

Glad we took the risk to try this piece in our authentic, classic, original (collectible?), Made-In-France DLC-8Plus. The pop-up response on "Will this work for your model?" told us this piece would likely NOT work. But it does! Perfectly! It is not identical, having an extra, lengthwise protrusion along the stem that our original does not have. This slight difference does not appear to affect performance. This is the second stem we have ordered hoping it would fit, and the first one definitely was not the correct part. But this one is, thankfully. These original French machines are so well made, it's worth finding parts, and the differences can be quite subtle.We recently had a repair shop refurbish the whole unit, which involved ordering various other parts for us from China (they amass enough requests and then the factory produces the needed parts), and this was the only item we needed to locate on our own. Between the repair-shop work (which took a couple of months between waiting for the parts order and then the repair/refurbish work itself) and finding this much-needed stem, we now have a nearly-perfect, original, real Cuisinart food processor and are feeling pretty darn good about it. Glad we took the chance and kept trying.

Just got our stem for our Cusinart food Processor just used it tonight . It worked great we did fried potatoes. Really happy we could find a part for our food processor . It ran smoother than old part did

This cuisinart pro custom 11 is a 40 year old well used wedding present. Thanks again, Aunt Maude. I thought it was headed for the trash heap when my wife did who knows what with the original stem. This has brought it back to its terrifying glory. Get the kids out of the kitchen.

I bought the food processor at goodwill. It had multiple parts but they belonged to another model. So I’m so happy to be able to purchase the right one. Now I’m using my food processor.
