All the review are correct...You have to grind down the spacers to fit in the pre-drilled holes in frame of my Honda Accord. But knowing this was the case before I started the installation, I didn't think it was a difficult modification since I have a bench grinder which made easy work of the adaptation. Installation on the passenger side near the muffler wasn't easy but not impossible either. I couldn't say it was an easy install but wasn't extremely difficult either. After getting past the install, this hitch looks and works great for its intended use which is to mount a Thule hitch mounted bike rack to my car. The price was reasonable, it looks good and it functions well. More difficult install is the only drawback but once that is done, it is well worth it and I would recommend this product.

Not sure if there's much I can say about a trailer hitch - it does what it's supposed to. I've been using it for a bike rack, and it's been great. Seems real sturdy. The installation was not hard, and the fitment was right on. The only thing is that it was hard for me to tighten the two rear bolts without some special tools, and I ended up needing my auto shop to tighten them for me. To be fair, though, I did not lower the exhaust as I was recommended - had I done that, your regular torque wrench would be just fine.

I think this is a great buy. Install was not super easy but not terrible if you got a few tools. Very well made. Issues I had were grinding the hole open slightly to get the metal bracket it. Die grinder was the tool for that. Also when you drill through the heat shield use a step bit. Make the hole extra big. That was my issue. When I went to install bolt was at a slight angle. Took shield back off made hole bigger. Fit great. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the mount under the trunk when tight still is able to move up and down about 1/4". Seems like a rubber bushing would be a good thing to add. I'd imagine driving down the road it might make a vibration or rattling noise.

Can pull a loaded jetski trailer on the expressway. Super easy to install in my 07 accord lx. pre drilled holes line the hitch up perfectly. Great product, great price, would recommend.

The hitch is great. I threw it on my accord and bought a small utility trailer. No issues so far...and I've taken it through the mountains and put it through its paces. NOW with that being said, was installation a bit difficult? Sure. Did I have to use my drill with a metal filling bit? Yes. Honestly though, that was the hardest part. Once I got the frame hole big enough to fit the fishing wire and bracket through it went up very quickly. Seriously, I spent more time with the muffler and widening the hole than I did installing the actual thing.

In order to fit the mounting bolts to the chassis the exhaust must be lowered and holes drilled in the heat shields for the mounting bolts. The plates used to hold the bolts in the frame rails DO NOT FIT in the opening of the frame and required a bench grinding wheel to remove about 1/8" off the side in order for them to fit. The Fishing wire with threads was extremely useful for pulling the bolt through. My only other concern is that the rear hanger bolt is suspended through the rear frame tow hook. Even after tightening to spec it still could move up and down in the loop of the tow hook about 1/4". I have not seen any issues with this yet but this was a slight concern.

If you don’t read review before you buy, don’t leave one after you buy. Frame spacers needed slight grinding to fit up into frame, not a big deal as the front hole could’ve probably been wallered out with a big screwdriver or pry bar. Thankful that they sent the fishwire to get the bolts in and through the holes. Be careful not to stretch the ‘spring’ on the fishwire after you get the first bolt through. And don’t make the mistake of knocking one bolt into the frame while putting the opposite nut on. Other than my little mishap of knocking the bolt into the frame I’d say it was a good buy, easy install(no heat shield)

It's a decent product and relatively easy to install. The only issues I had was similar to other reviewers are the spacers was about 0.40mm larger than the entry hole. I didn't have any electric/air tools, but it was pretty easy to use a hand file to take off some metal on the spacer. My accord was only a 4-cyc and it didn't have the heat shield on the muffler, so no drilling was necessary. Also, after installing the hitch, it had some sway between the hanger hook and the hitch which causes some noise when going over a bumpy road. I found out it was bumping against the trunk pan, so I fixed by added some 3M double sided tape act as a foam.Overall pretty happy with the product, but it lost 1 star because they still haven't address these issues every customer had bought this product. Anyways, I'm still happy I can use by bike rack on it.
