Pros - Bolted right up. Fits perfect, well made, easy instructions.Cons - noneI do not know why but I did not have the problems some stated. The muffler hanger hooked right back up.It is tough getting it up by yourself. I would recommend 2 people. I used some wood and a floor jack. Jacked the jack up before I started and put the one side on the wood and then pushed up the other side and pumped it up tight. It did take some gentle moving so that it did not fall off the wood. The wire guide worked well and it only took about 30 mins. The one thing I did was to get all the bolts in and the nuts started before I tightened them down. Before I tightened them all the way down, while just a little loose, I knocked it around to make sure it was straight and as far back as I could get it.Fit perfect, sets nice and high tight up against the bumper.Way less than buying one local. Cheapest I found was still over $50 more than this delivered.Well worth the money.

Can't say much, its a Curt hitch that are very nice hitch's. I really tried to buy local, but even the Hitch store near me didn't stock it. Amazon for the win again! Super easy to install myself. I used my floor jack to hold it up in place while I fastened it.

Bought it for my old 04 CRV EX, solid construction, but the 4 holes that fix the receiver to the car frame is malaligned, after almost 1.5 hr of trying last night, can get up to 3 holes line up, the other is off 1/2 in. or so. Too heavy and too much trouble to send it back. After reading some reviews, planning to drill and make the last hole bigger to line up the screw. It was not as easy as the video showed.Update: tried again last night without success in getting all 4 holes lined up, gave up on the idea of drilling to make holes bigger afraid it may cause more damage than good. Thought about using just 3 holes instead of 4, after all, just want to haul a couple of bikes not towing a big trailer. With just 3 bolts in place, the hitch looks crooked, and the midline U shaped bolt won't fit. Had enough and it's going back.Amazon won't replace due to it's a manufacturing problem, not amazon's fault, so I'll package it up and drop it off at UPS. While packing, noticed a big tear on the side of package, the edges still approximate nicely so hard to notice, then I remembered the hitch receiver was just sitting in the box, free to move about without anything immobilizing it, now I wonder if one side is bend during the shipping. Anyways, I'll order another to try after this one gets returned. Will update later.update 2: returned thru ups on tuesday, as soon as amazon processed the refund, ordered another one, arrived fri, just installed it, smooth as described in their video, everything fits, took me about 45 min without assistant. Still looks alittle crooked, with the left side sticking out more than right, but all 5 points of fixation went in perfectly, so I don't care as much, could be just me and bad experience with the last one, changed from 2 to 4 stars.

Great fit. They supply “fish†wire to get the bolts in place within the frame rails of the car. Having a 2nd set of hands couldn’t hurt for lifting and holding the hitch in place. I installed it alone, with the car on jackstands and me on a creeper. Used my knees when necessary as extra support. Took about 50 minutes once the car was in the air. Used a long screwdriver to pry off one or two exhaust hanger rubber supports. I consider myself a decent backyard mechanic. Most people won’t have too much trouble installing this. I think you can find an install video online as well.

The first time I used this product with towing a lighter cruiser bike it bent, resulting in damage to the front tire that I had to replace. (200$) Bike weighs 500lbs total, with rear wheel on ground I struggle to see how it went over the 350lbs limit. (I used a slick wheelie). Also if something is "rated" 350lbs it should be able to handle a little over for a single use. I babied it the whole way with perfectly secured load and it sank. The paint around the female coupling end chipped off and is now rusty. Again single use. Shame because it looked sturdy when I bought it. The warranty is terrible now that I look at it... Bike isn't covered.. And I pay for shipping it back and they may replace it... Or just keep it. Get a better brand. As shown in the pictures it's now almost unusable due to angle. I'm attempting to bend it back using a jack stand and will have to mess around getting someone to weld some support on it for future use. To be clear I'm towing a properly secured Suzuki vl800 at 55mph over good highway...not a gold wing. It sounded too good to be true price wise and lo and behold so it was.

The hitch fit perfectly on my 2004 CRV.Some helpful hint for installing. Remove the muffler it will make install easier. Also once you have the bolts fished through the frame and you are ready to install the hitch is have the “u†bolt placed through the the tow hook loop and start threading the bolt the hitch to it, but not all the way. This will help you hold the hitch up and align the bolts through from them frame with one person install.

I just received the hitch for my CR-V, and had a problem with the installation. The mounting arm on the driver side was bent in about a half inch, which kept the hole pattern from matching up. The Curt box it arrived in was in good condition with no signs of damage, so I am not sure if it was bent in shipping or in manufacturing. A friend with a vice, sledge hammer, and some pent up aggression to work out was able to help me bend it back where it belonged. The hitch is strong, so it wasn't easy to bend! I really didn't want to return it for another one. After it was straighten, it mounted easily and seems solid. If it hadn't been slightly bent, I would have given it a 5.

The Good: price, quality product, fits perfectly onto the frame of my 2006 CRV. Can* be installed quickly and easily with TWO people. The bad: Instructions too brief. I recommend finding and watching the intall video's that can be found on YouTube. 5min that may save you a head ache.

Excellent hitch. Took 2 hours to install on CRV 2nd gen . Two people required to lift up heavy hitch to catch the nuts on the bolts. Only thing that have problems was the center U-bolt . It never got the holes so had to be bent inwards with a hammer to fit the CRV center hook bolt holes. Otherwise was an easy install. Hardest part was lifting it into place and lining it up. Once that was done the rest was easy.
