With so many different trailer ball and ball mount sizes available, it is a possibility for a trailer ball and ball mount to be mismatched. Though we pride ourselves on offering a complete selection of towing equipment and design our products to be an exact fit for your towing application, we understand that making a minor adjustment to your towing equipment is much more cost-effective than purchasing brand new equipment. CURT reducer bushings are the fast, easy way to make your trailer ball fit snugly into your ball mount for safe, quiet towing. Installing a trailer ball with any wiggle room between the shank and ball mount hole is a recipe for disaster. It does not matter how much torque you apply to the trailer ball nut; if you have a trailer ball shank that is too small, it will eventually come loose in the ball mount platform and lead to trailer sway and even a breakaway. A CURT reducer bushing provides an effective filler for any gap that might surround your trailer ball shank. CURT reducer bushings come in three sizes to fit most standard trailer ball and ball mount sizes. This particular reducer bushing is designed to reduce a 1" hole down to 3/4". All CURT reducer bushings come with a yellow zinc finish to prevent rust and corrosion.

I keep one of these in my trailering kit, they fit perfectly for fitting a smaller shaft into a larger hole and making it fit right. I suggest a few flat washers too just to make sure the larger hole is covered and doesn’t jack the nut at an angle.

This did the job perfectly. It allowed me to re-use a ball with a 3/4 inch shank on a new hitch with a 1inch hole.

Quite a bit of slop between bushing and hole in hitch. Didn't have time before trip to do anything but use it. Didn't have any problems. YMMV

I needed this bushing to go in my heavy duty hitch to be able to use a 2 inch ball in that hitch. It was perfect.I saw reviews that said it didn't fit. I have no idea what they were doing it works fine and is a name brand trailer supplier. I will buy another when the need arises.

This is a reducer 1/2" (height) reducer ring that is inserted into the 1" diameter hole of a trailer hitch. The reducer had an inside diameter of 3/4". This enables one to install a trailer hitch ball with a shaft diameter of 3/4" in a trailer hitch arm with a 1" diameter hole. The reducer ring is coated for resistance to weathering.
