That means equipping it with a coupler that is built to go the distance. The CURT replacement Posi-Lock latch is easy to install and fits on our straight-tongue Posi-Lock couplers. It is made from hardy steel construction and has a durable zinc finish to protect from corrosion, wear and tear. A unique features of the Posi-Lock latch is its adjustable design. The lockable latch mechanism adjusts by tightening or loosening a bolt within the latch to ensure a firm hold on the trailer ball. This CURT Posi-Lock repair latch is designed to fit a 1-7/8" trailer ball and can be used on 2", 2-1/2" or 3" channel couplers.

Nice and cheap way to rebuild a coupler without cutting it off and welding on a new one. Used to rebuild my Carry-on utility trailer's coupler. Fit great. A little fiddly to install, a third hand would help, but that's no fault of the product. Would use again.

Didn't realize how weak springs were on old one till I installed new one. Very easyto onstall. Will need 19mm or 3/4 socket

It would have been nice if they provided a video link or given tips on how to control the spring while trying to compress it during installation. Other than that, it seems to work fine.

This item worked perfectly for my trailer. Took the old rusted out components out and installed the new one. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. Took less than 10 minutes from start to finish using only a socket wrench.

Solid repair kit. Recommend look up the curt website for part number.I thought this was a 2"kit but its a 1 7/8" kit.Still worked for me. Just used my old plate.Always use the old nut on the bottom as well as the new one in the kit to double nut lock the plate in tougue.
