If you are replacing a broken coupler on your trailer or installing a new one on a trailer you are building, CURT has dependable couplers you can trust to keep your tow load latched on tight. Selecting the right trailer hitch, ball mount and trailer ball to manage the weight of your trailer is not the only important aspect of towing; you also need a trailer that can stand up to the road ahead. That means equipping it with a coupler that is built to go the distance. As the name indicates, CURT A-frame couplers are meant to mount onto trailers with an A-shaped tongue. They are stronger than straight-tongue couplers and are especially common on RV trailers. This particular A-frame coupler features a sleeve-lock latch and a solid neck for increased strength and security. It is made from hardy steel construction and has a durable carbide black finish to protect from corrosion, wear and tear. This CURT A-frame sleeve-lock coupler features a gross trailer weight capacity of 7,000 lbs. and a tongue weight capacity of 1,050 lbs. It fits a 2" diameter trailer ball..

Did allot of searching, this is about the lowest price for this style and with adding a few bucks to get quality and not something flimsy. Finger safe!!! Also has safety pin attached that prevents it falling off ball. Took trailer off road and does very good. I just attached safety chains to the stand hole because I'm putting a frame Jack on. . if you are making a pick up bed trailer , picture a triangle , coupler 50 degrees , your other angles will be 65 degrees . you can put the width of your frame in the triangle calculator and two of the degrees and it will calculate where you need to notch your frame out.

Bought three different from three different sources. The Curt 25217 seems to be the heaviest (hinging true metal) and the strongest.

Good quality trailer coupler. I bought it since it had the highest rating I could find in a 2" ball size. Plus it is a Curt brand, I didn't want to go with an unknown brand for something this important. It also welded on nicely to the front of my car trailer.

My biggest gripe with it is how and where the pin for the lock is attached. It's very inconvenient being underneath in the center because it gets in the way of everything. There should've been a designated spot on one of the sides to clip it to. I would've welded something on before i finished it up with paint if I had realized how annoying it really was, but I don't feel like re-doing everything to add one to it now.

Great replacement, cut old hitch off and welded this new one on. Changed the breakaway chains and looks new on the tongue. Great value

Ordered this when my trailer ball lock released on my wifes car and dropped the trailer off the back. luckily the trailer was unloaded. This style should be standard on all trailers, but they cheap out on those quick lock latch styles. They are unsafe (been towing for 20+ years)After it came off my wifes car, I cut the old style ball couple off the next day, welded and bolts this one to the trailer frame. Have no more worries every.5 Star installation for me, since I fabricate and weld almost daily...... Cutting your old one off will take a while, and this really should be solidly welded to the trailer

Replaced the coupler on my RV trailer. This one is much easier to get on and off the ball. The original one required the trailer to be level to go on and off the ball since it was new. I’m much more confident towing with this coupler. I’ve owned a few Curt products they have all been excellent.

Overall looks solid and well built. I was surprised to see plug welds on the coupler. I think it’ll hold up well and last the life of the trailer. It says “durable powder coat finish” but I received it pretty chipped up.
