It securely attaches the head to the adjustable shank and is retained with spring clips. This package includes two pins and two clips. All other channel mount components sold separately.

Lost one of my pins, so had to order replacements. Since it's factory replacement it fits as it should. Kinda expensive for pins.

Lost one of the pins moving the hitch around between different trucks. This was a great replacement for the pin I lost. Fit the hitch like a glove.
