After several attempts and confirming my thoughts with Curt this Item will "NOT" work wit a 2006 Lincoln Town Car.Don't waist your time,It's being returned.The LCM will not allow Brake light function.

I like the ease of the install. The only real problem is that yhey don't last very long. The rated amperage is around 2 amps. My trailer has 3 bulbs on each side for the break/blinker. With 3 bulbs it exceeds yhe amperage ratting. I guess that I will have to build my own with 2 relays or power transistors. Very cheap to build one that will handle the power.

Unfortunately I didn’t test it right away, now when I need it only the running lights work.

Passenger side turn signal did not work from the beginning and the brakes do not work at all from the beginning this was a total waste of time to install. Waste of butt connectors waste of time on doing all the panels to tuck all the wires and nicely to find out this thing is complete junk

Wired everything up and the brake lights will only flash brighter briefly when you apply the brakes before dimming back to normal. Waste of time and money, don't bother.

honestly Curt should be ashamed to offer and sell such a scrap like this and Amazon should take it from the marketplace right away! This is the 2nd one in a row that arrived dead! It looks good and also looks well made but thats it!! It's useless scrap out of the factory!The only light that works is the park lights, because this doesn't go through any electronics but right through to the lamps. blinker and stop light does not work at all!This is the same item like the Curt 55177, just with added clips, same scrap!+++DO NOT BUY - DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!+++
