I use this fid to splice the winch cable on my Polaris ranger worked very good made the job very simple

Have not used on my 3/8 rope yet but works awesome on my 1/4 rope for my honda rancher.

After using pens, sticks, broken arrows, and socket extensions, I gave in and just bought this. Now everything is measured out and I am hopeful for consistent splicing.
