I purchased this in 2019. It is by far the best grate you can buy. Very sturdy and lasts forever. Warranty is very strong. Used to go through grates every other year. This one will last and worth the money

Wow!! This product is massive!! It's very sturdy and HEAVY!! I've used it twice so far (about 6-8 hours of burning) and have no issues so far.I had a very small grate that was there when I bought my house. My fireplace is huge and that little grate was silly.This monster fits in the fireplace perfectly.This grate sits tall enough as I was able to clean under it without having to move it this beast.Very good buy if you want something that is tough and sturdy. I'm not kidding when I say it's heavy.

I just received my grate and it certainly appears to be well made and sturdy. It's very heavy but time will tell how it performs. I'm happy with the look and size of it. HOWEVER, I was really surprised by the details of the warranty. There was a large card insert in the box that states: "Ashes must be kept clear of the bottom of the grate while you are burning to allow the grate to cool or the warranty is void. Ashes touching the grate will eat away at the metal and will decrease the life of the grate." There was also a another insert that said the same thing and showed a picture of a mangled collapsed grate (I threw it away otherwise I would have posted it as well). First off.... WHAT THE HELL? if this is such an important point, the company should clearly state it on their Amazon page. This seems like an easy out for any warranty claim to be voided. I paid a premium for this grate due to the strong warranty language in the description on this site. To say that a claim will be voided for not removing the ashes WHILE YOU ARE BURNING is like saying these boots are waterproof but you are responsible for removing the water while it is raining! The warranty gets 1 star and the look of the actual grate gets 5 stars. Time will only tell how it actually holds up but the pic of the mangled grate included in the box with the warranty warning doesn't instill confidence.

I bought a smaller, lightweight grate at a local store for a fraction of what this cost. It was terrible! I had to straighten it up every time I put wood in my fireplace. This one fits snugly and is super heavy. No chance of it sliding around. Plus, the grates are deep in front, so not likely logs will roll out. Be sure to measure the backside (narrowest part) of your fireplace. I could probably have gone with the 30" size, but it would have been too much trouble to exchange because of weight. That was my fault though, not the product's.

The grate is very solid/well built and looks like it will last a very long time. I have had two hot, all day fires in it and it still looks brand new. I was surprised at how fast it arrived after placing the order through Amazon. The shipping was free from the supplier on orders over $100 and I think it arrived 2 business days after it was ordered. I like high quality items, so I will definitely be making additional purchases from WoodlandDirect for my other fire place needs.
