I don't what in the blue blazes some are saying about cheap lock latches or it will break if extended. Yeah maybe if you're using it to lift up your car but this thing I assure you is plenty strong . Feels heavy duty. I would know cheap and under engineered and this isn't. Nice quality . I give it a thumbs up.

Bought this and I dont understand how people bend it. Its super sturdy, I speared a dozen carp from shore today with no issue.Likely buying another, this is perfect for spear fishing and has great strength.

Took this out twice and speared 7 fish. It didn’t take long, either. Part of that was post-spawn fish that weren’t as energetic as usual, but equally important was the reach of this bad boy. Incredible!Others said theirs collapsed, but I haven’t had that happen yet. Maybe it’s because I’m spearing 3-6 lb freshwater fish and not trying to drive them into the center of the earth.I will say that the thinnest section, close to the head, is a little flimsy. Also, the little rivet holding the female threaded section (where the spear head screws in) is wobbly after one use. That’ll end up having to be replaced I’m sure. Also, I’m thinking some thread lock is a good idea for the spear head. I already had a fish or two twist enough to back the threads out a bit. Made me leery.

This looks and sounds good, but the aluminum is so thin, if you ever hit the bottom on a shot you're done. It bends and the proprietary 8 mm tip is total junk. The rivot pops out immediatelyI hardly ever write a review, but this thing, while it looks good, is junk. Don' t even give it a chance. I bought several and these all broke on the first day. It was my day on the water and they all failed misrably. Look elsewhere - anywhere.

This pole is ok for light use but will not hold up to teenage boy use. If you’re looking at this for normal teenagers who don’t take real good care of their things this is not the pole for you. It broke in half after less than 5 uses.

It lives up to it's name! It is useful to the carp and large frogs here. The carp especially have some fight, and the barbs on the spearpoints are effective in keeping them on the spear to be retrieved. Great value and, so far, very durable. The length is appropriate for reaching out 10+ feet. Great for use in a narrow channel or small creek.

Not worth it for this much money.
