Was skeptical about this with the reviews...but...bought it anyway.I think I see and understand the negative reviews and have some things to add to help clarify.1st. I used this on metal...22g and it cuts it just fine...the reason I bought it was to cut squares of flooring to use as pads/silencer pads to quiet the steel weights in my test weight carts.I had pictures of me cutting the steel sheets and the flooring (vct or whatever they call that stuff) but can not find the pics this is all i could find.2nd. The flat outer non knurled wheel is adjustable...it need to be run in and have the same pressure against the other wheel as a pair of tin snips/hedge trimmer blades have against each other. Too loose and you will get the cuts like you see in the pictures posted....too tight and it will bind up and not cut well.3. Add a bit of oil to the blades to help the disks slide over on another.. remember you are tightening them to one another.4. Use a variable speed drill on a very very slow speed....the slower I went the better/smoother/straighter my cut was. Don't use an impact driver...5. Get the angle right on the drill and duct tape a paint stir stick to the back of it to let the stick ride on the metal and it hold your drill at the right angle to you can concentrate on steering and pushing. Plan your direction of cut...this tool operates the same way red and green snips do.....IT IS DIRECTIONAL WITH THE UP AND DOWN PUSH!Do those things and this little tool is a great little cutter. Don't think for a second you are going to use it for a construction tool or industrial use or even to cut all the panels on your new barn roof. But for the occasional cutting and light use this is a good little tool. For 20 bucks don't thing you are going to replace your kettle shears or nibbles or even your red and green wiss snips.

Bought to cut sheet metal and metal roofing panels. Works very well and a quieter option for cutting metal roofing. Although the instructions are lacking, not hard to figure it out. I would recommend for the price point you probably can't beet it.

Junk, won't fit drill. Hopefully you have a drill this thing will fit. They could have made it easier to put together instead it's complicated as hell with this spring. You need a drill with a small handle. It also doesn't cut butter. Total garbage.

What I like is it cuts flat metal with ease.but anything other than that its no good.need to figure out a better way to hook up to any drill and figure out a way to make it more comfortable on your hand because the way it is it's not a good way.also need some kind of better direction I didn't have a issue but I can bet some people will have problems.thanks

The iron cuts well I used it on ducking and I used it on mesh screening. Aluminum worked well problem I have with it. Spring won’t fit around my drill black collar that goes around the neck of my drill at the top won’t fit so use a zip tie in place of the spring to hold it in place did not use the black collar that comes with it. We’ll have to figure out more but like they say it is better than the shears it’s gonna take a learning curve. I’ll let you know more when I work more with it in the spring.

I used this to cut some 16ga aluminum strips for making brackets, way easier than tin snips, and a nicer cut. Looks like it would last as well, as it cut it with surprisingly easy pressure, once the cuts started it pulled itself through fast.

The directions are pitiful. One bracket with the cutter won't fit any drill I have. The metal bar/bracket also doesn't fit my Dewalt drill and doesn't even attach well to the cutter. The directions are so poorly written you can't figure out how to attach it. The drawings are less than useless. The cutter may cut well, I've haven't had the chance to use it, but parts included to attach it are poorly engineered and the instructions are useless. I could have designed a way to attach it to every drill ever made with a very easy to attach part. There was a card included with the cutter indicating I won a prize. The price was a second cutter. When I tried emailing or going to the website, neither existed.I have another cutter that is a scissor type but doesn't cut anything other than a straight cut well. I was hoping this would handle cuts in roofing when I have to cut around a vent or similar items. Disappointing. I gave it two starts because I'm giving it credence for cutting, even though I haven't had the chance to use it.

I like the feature of being a rolling cutter. Once I got it attached to my impact driver, it was able to cut right through it with ease. I bought it to cut sheet metal for auto body repairs. The roller is adjustable for thick to thin material. I found a good quality impact driver was the best thing for cutting thicker gauge sheet metal. It is worth the value for the money.
