D40+ is an entry level single dose coffee grinder with a clean design. It comes with stainless steel 40mm conical burrs that deliver a consistent grind with minimal clumping. D40+ now has stepless adjustment and helps dial in espresso with ease. Using aluminum as main body material it is affordable but doesn't sacrifice the build quality. The 58mm aluminum dosing cup has a magnetic bottom and it sits on the grinding seat firmly. The forward tilted aluminum body helps reduce retention.

I am new to coffee grinders, espresso machines and all the accessories so tried to do a fair amount of research before any purchases of such equipment. I wanted something that would perform well but a small kitchen makes size a large part of the consideration. I purchased a Breville Bambino Plus so needed a companion grinder. I have used this grinder daily now for two months and it has performed very well. I had to set the dial up to 6 for the beans I am using. There is little retention, I usually get the same wt out as put in, there is never more than 1 gram difference. I find clumping varies, depending on the bean - I buy beans from a local roaster and one type clumps a bit more than the other, but in my limited experience I do not consider the clumping excessive. I do use one of those WDT tools, and seems to work well, I get consistent results. I do not find the noise at all excessive or objectionable, especially since it only takes a short amount of time to grind. I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy it felt when I took it out of the box (it comes very well packed), has a good weight for its size. Love the look of it and the size is perfect next to my Bambino Plus with my limited counter space. Time will tell, of course, but so far I am very pleased with this purchase. I am so much happier with the espressos coming from my machines than I ever was with inconsistent coffee shop drinks.

Bought this back and june when i really my Barratza no longer grinded as fine as i wanted. It is great for espresso. However, I would not recommend it for coarser grinder. I use about 4-6 times a week is it produces a consistent grind size with minimal retention (.2 grams at most). This is a great option that doesn’t break the budget.

Well-built and solid feeling, the D40+ gives me very consistent fine coffee grounds, perfect for espresso. I have to take it apart and clean it out frequently. After 10 grinds (enthusiastically using the bellows to clear it each time), I removed a gram of coffee grounds from the burrs and outlet. When I am changing the grind size to dial-in my espresso shot (or switching to a different coffee bean), this amount of retention is a hassle. One of the Allen wrenches supplied for dismantling and cleaning were the wrong size. The fit & finish is otherwise good. If you don't mind pulling it apart and cleaning it every few days, this is a good, budget espresso grinder.

There are many options for a grinder, yet this one checks all the boxes. affordable (compared to espresso focus grinders out there), easy to use, easy to clean, and looks pretty nice. There are many options for a grinder these days but they can be extremely expensive and provide you with the same features as this one. For a person who is looking to get started in the espresso world, I highly recommend this product. It gives great results.

Product arrived quickly. Build quality is high, full metal construction. Device grinds with good consistency and low noise. Bellows had a terrible smell, it did go away after washing.Device makes a high pitched sound when plugged in and not in use; not acceptable and therefore returning.

Unless you are making tons of shots daily this grinder simply works great. I use it several times per day for my lattes. I have a zpress manual grinder and can honestly say going with this electric grinder has been a blessing for espresso. No regrets!

Excellent value for price. It has no problem with an espresso grind. The bellows work well. It’s obviously not zero retention, but darn close. For a conical burr grinder this is darn, darn good. You’d really have to be an espresso expert to distinguish it from a flat burr grinder. Plus, it’s very small opposed to most other grinders. In the video I filmed it in front of my air fryer for perspective. The construction is solid powdered aluminum. I do wish the bellows were a little better constructed, but it works and that’s the most important thing. I’m very, very happy!

It's a prosumer item, so the price is more expensive than the typical consumer one, but worth it. Made a great difference in the quality of the espresso, which my previous regular grinders didn't provide. Given the price of other prosumer grinders, this was very affordable.

El molinillo cumple con lo que dice. Me gusta que es bastante robusto con un buen peso y los materiales son buenos. El vaso tiene un imán y hace que no se mueva. El ruido que hace es bastante bajo, y muele el café a la perfección. Yo uso una expresso con portafiltro sin fondo y lo pongo al 3 o 3,5. Una cosa a tener en cuenta aunque puede que no le pase a todo el que lo pida, es que cuando lo probé, no me molÃa el café según la numeración, es decir en la parte donde se supone que tiene que molerlo fino no lo hacia y casi siempre lo molÃa grueso. Probé dándole vueltas a la rueda, para un lado y para el otro y no iba de ninguna de las maneras, lo desarmé, todo estaba bien. Hasta que me di cuenta que la rueda que tiene la flecha estaba en la posición incorrecta. Tuve que desarmarlo y quitar solo la rueda de la flecha(que tiene un mini tornillo) después girar la otra rueda de los números hasta el tope, que supuse que ese tope serÃa el 0.â€, ya que la rosca giraba hacia abajo. Después puse la otra rueda de la flecha en el 0, y volvà a armarlo todo. Y después volver a darle una vuelta mas hacia el otro lado. Menudo calentamiento de cabeza para llegar a esa conclusión. Pero ahora sà va todo perfecto y puedes calibrar perfectamente el tipo de molienda. Otro fallo es que no se apaga si no lo desenchufas de la corriente, pero le puse una regleta con interruptor y arreglado. Yo estoy encantada y es muy bonito. Lo recomiendo 100%

Arrivato con giorno di anticipo, lo sto usando da un paio di gg e funziona perfettamente. Lo utilizzo con una macchina automatica Jura su livello 1,8. Ho anche provato con una macchina x caffe’americano scegliendo un macinato piu’ grosso e anche in questo caso tutto ok. Poco rumoroso, tutto in metallo, spina europea, la sua pesantezza lo mantiene molto stabile. Non sono un professionista, quindi non peso al milligrammo quanta polvere residui nel macinino, ma il sistema x eliminare i residui funziona molto bene, quindi credo sia davvero poca. Infine, non meno importante, occupa pochissimo posto ed ha un’estetica molto gradevole. Le istruzioni per quanto riguarda l ‘utilizzo della ghiera x la dimensione del macinato dovrebbero essere piu’ chiare, ma per fortuna c’e’ internet, ed essendo il prodotto molto conosciuto si trovano, specialmente sui forum, tutte le risposte possibili. Dubito che per questa cifra si possa avere di meglio.
