I have a short drive to the trail and need something simple. I have one of those fork mounts where you remove the front wheel and tighten it down. It worked great and I'd use it if I needed to go a longer distance. Something about the security of having the bikes in the truck bed. But for frequent use over a shorter distance, it's much simpler to just set the bikes in place. It only uses two straps to hold it on the tailgate. Attaching and removing is pretty simple.I looked at the bigger covers, but I'm only transporting two bikes, so this is perfect. Although the description on Amazon says for two bikes, this comes with tie downs for three bikes. I didn't want the frames rubbing against each other or wheels bumping a disk brake, so I don't use the middle mount, giving them plenty of room.Because it is half size, I can still see through the backup camera. I get a little block from wheel, but you can see through the spokes well enough. The side touching the truck tailgate is soft, so I don't worry about scratches. I muddied it up once and it cleaned off easily.Overall, exactly what I needed.

I had a hard tine finding a pad that would fit the tailgate and go on easily. The straps on this pad are stiff so they easily go around the bottom of tje tailgate. Goes on and off in seconds.

I usually ride solo, so a full width pad is overkill and covers my backup camera. This thing is a good width (wish it was maybe 1" narrower), but it fits well on my Chevy Colorado and I can position it so my backup camera is not totally covered.

Excellent quality. Super easy to use. Fits 3 bikes. I have an Electric full suspension medium frame mountain bike with 29 x 2.4 wheels and a large frame fat tire bike in the photo. I could fit another bike easily if I shifted one over. The straps for the frame were large enough to fit around my e-bike battery frame and also adjusted to be small enough for the standard size bike frame. The mat padding was thick enough not to scratch the truck or the bikes. Rain rolled right off, water resistant. Drove over 60 miles on the highway and 10 miles on fire roads with it. No problems. I would highly recommend!

I wasn't sure how it would fit my truck's smaller tail gait but it works great and doesn't cover the backup camera. Plus it looks great!
