Only one little complaint - the unscented bag still has scent. I cannot hang a DampRid bag in a family member’s bedroom, because that person sometimes has breathing problems. I hung the bag in a nearby room, and, as you can see from the photo, it really does work. The bags are perfect for the basement too. You could hang the bags and/or use the large DampRid pail for large spaces, but ***do not remove or puncture the paper cover, like I did.** I’m going to dispose of the damaged one.I’ve bought the bags several times for the basement alone. It greatly improves that musty, stagnant stale air smell, and even though we have dehumidifiers working 24/7 in the basement, the DampRid bags still remove water. If there is any risk of mold in your dwelling, get these bags and see just how much water they remove. Mold loves stagnant air, darkness and moisture.If you have pet birds, or other pets, check with your vet first, before using DampRid. Birds have very delicate respiratory systems, are highly sensitive to many scents, and birds can be injured or die by artificial scents. Ask you vet if the crystals in the pail are safe around other animals.It is a nightmare to remove a large mold infestation. I wish I had known about DampRid years ago. I highly recommended these bags. They are a bit pricey, but well worth it to help avoid mold.

Just hang in closet and change when needed. Easy to use and prevents mildew with out a big, expensive to use dehumidifier. I live in a small place and humid climate. Works great.

Great product, well priced, size is good for small areas such as closets, bathroom, storage rooms, laundry etc. Has a fresh smell but not over powering. It functions great and the bags are all fresh. Packed well.

Wow! This really works!I have it hanging in my kid's closet. He's peed in there a few times- don't ask me why!?- so I've had to use my carpet shampooer multiple times. Well, it got a little musty in there, and moist. I could hardly stand hanging their clothes back in there. It was just gross smelling.Now, I'm not one to review many things, but I like to make a point to do so if the product exceeds my expectations! This exceeded my expectations. I've had this damp rid hanging in there for 2 weeks! Look at all that moisture!It really does what it says, and I'm impressed! Though the fresh scent one really has more of a cheap laundry detergent and meth type aroma, so maybe go with the unscented. It's kind of a strong smell, but fades as it breaks down more. It's pretty cool to see how it draws the water to it and drips down. It takes a couple days to really get going, but it also probably depends on how wet/moist an area you have. Overall 5/5 for performance... the smell is the only thing I kind of disliked.

Moved to a humid, tropical climate & was struggling with keeping the moisture off clothing, towels and shoes etc in our closets & storage areas with many things developing mould quickly. Saw the good # of positive reviews & decided to try it. Now I can appreciate why the reviews have been so good. Since hanging these in my closets, cupboards and storage areas (+ replacing them every 3-4 weeks as the bags completely fill with water), I’ve found a significant difference in not only the smell of my clothes/shoes etc now (which previously constantly smelled slightly mouldy despite cleaning/washing them frequently), but also the general damp smell that used to linger in the closets/cupboards/storage areas. Our things no longer develop any mould spots & it smells fresh when I open cupboards/closets etc. The only thing I’m not as big a fan of is the pricepoint. You get 3 bags with each pack & need 6 bags for the places they’re needed so it is somewhat expensive given how frequently they fill with water & need to buy new boxes at least 1-2x per month which does add up over the year. That said, it had saved us a lot of time constantly re-cleaning clothes that weren’t even dirty & bags (particularly canvass bags) which would start to smell like mould so quickly, in spite of running 2 dehumidifiers both upstairs & downstairs almost constantly. It’s also stopped us having to worry about finding clothing or towels/bedsheets ruined by mould due to the climate in Hawaii so I feel the trade off, although I’d like to see the pricepoint drop, is worth it for me. It works for me, keeping mould out of our enclosed spaces & keeps those spaces smelling fresh & clean - a win-win scenario. Have been buying/using them for almost a year now before writing this. I’ll continue to be a customer whilst living in a humid climate unless another product comes along which does the exact same job at a lower price. So far, have not found any products that cost less, which are as effective for me & have tried a lot of products previous to this one. I’m a happy customer.

These little bags work wonders in our rv..use them in the clothes closet...keeps things from being damp...just in time for the rainy season..lol which is all the time in bc...can't go wrong with these bags...

Brought on vacation to Mexico after reading a lot of reviews of it being damp and musty smelling. Purchased this and I’m so glad I did. Collected a lot of water and smelled fresh. I will 100% be purchasing for my next trips.We stayed 8 days and 1 was good enough for the entire week.With one left over, I used it in my cold cellar and it has completely changed the space. 10/10
