This caliper expander feels a nice solid construction.I do rear brakes on family and friends cars 2-3 times a year. In the past I've resorted to pushing the cylinder in while twisting using needle nose pliers in the grooves. This can be difficult and leaves open the possibility of slipping, ripping the boot, or jabbing yourself.I like that the end is a 3/8" drive. This leaves open the option of different adapters.The only fault I found is that there is no way to secure the plate the the tool. It slides into a slot and will just fall out if there's no pressure on it. This means that when I put it in my toolbox, I'm very likely going to be searching for the other half of it when I need it. I think I'll need to zip tie them together after use if I want to be sure they will be there when I need them.Overall, I'm very happy with the unit and would recommend as a great value
