Have been needing one of these for years and finally remembered to buy one. It comes in very handy holding a micrometer while freeing up a hand to measure parts. It comes with rubber padded jaws to protect the micrometer from damage. Is made of cast iron (I think) so it has some weight to it to prevent it from moving. It also has a nice blue color painted finish. It has three rubber feet or nubs on the base to keep it from sliding and prevents marring of the work table. It’s a good value and high quality for the money. Well made and will probably outlast me.

Does exactly what it's supposed to. Only thing I'd prefer is if it was just a little heavier. That said it would be no big deal to glue some extra weight into it. I'll be buying more.
