Although I haven't had to repair many threads or use many inserts over the years, these arrived very timely, and I got right to work with them. I installed two of them in an aluminum transmission case, took maybe 10 minutes each. The drill bit cut right through the metal, as did the tap. The insert, dabbed with a bit of sealer screwed in with minimal effort. Probably my only gripe is that no drivers for the taps are included with the set, and the larger sizes take a larger driver than the ones I had on hand. Still, a very good value for the assortment of decent quality tools and inserts.

this kit was complete and worked perfectly to repair my 7/16 threads on my transmission mount. I'm Sure the other sizes will work just as well.

First off out of the package the 1/4 inch driver missing slot to turn in the coil, not a good start.When I tried using the 5/16 the slot actually broke off when I was turning the coil in. OMG what a nightmare that was. Definitely would not recommend this. If the tools we're properly hardened and there wasn't a quality control issue then the packaging and everything else was nice. Although for the life of me I can't figure out why they paint the SAE tap sets blue and the Metric ones Red????

I used this kit to re and re 4 bad threads on an old Harley Davidson riser, 4 times 5/16 thread in aluminum. The kit worked perfectly and it only took about 10 minutes total to do all 4. I set them with red Locktight and I'm waiting overnight to reassemble but 100% great and quality product. 👌

This is a really good product and worked perfectly for me to drill out 3 broken studs and holes on my exhaust manifold to exhaust flange . Flange stud thread were 3/8in and the helicoil set worked as advertised and saved me huge amount of time and money. The drilled bit that came with the set were really very effective and had no difficulty cutting through the flange holes to make them wider. Exceptional product , very generous with the tools and helicoils, so a great kit to have around the workshop.
