They are easy to install--and I'm an idiot when it comes to installing most things. I wanted to create additional "shelves" inside an armoire that I use as a supplemental pantry. Since I live in a very small condo, that armoire is in my guest room--in other words, at my home, pantry space is hard to come by.I needed 26 1/4" length and was concerned about the 28" max. However, I measured carefully, and I read reviews closely. They are perfect for my needs. With the 8, I built one shelf with 2 + a curtain rod (unused) in the armoire; a second with 3; and a third with 3. The first two are now supporting food boxes and the third muffin and popover pans. The rods are slender and inexpensive, and I was mindful of the length limit, and so I didn't ask them to support anything very heavy. And, just in case, I planned on using more than just 2 per "shelf." To install, I actually figured out how to twist them out, and then to slide them without doing any damage or making any marks to the inside of my armoire. So I'm really happy with this purchase!And so my 8 tension rods are now doing a superb job of supporting some not-so-lightweight pantry staples and baking dishes. I'm thrilled with my purchase!

I saw this hack on Pinterest and I’ve done this before with similar built-in shelves at my other place. I love that I found the perfect size, these shelves are 19†wide. Great value, sturdy, look great! I also used them in another closet to hold up fabric bins (be mindful these can hold up to 4 lbs if I remember correctly). If you have wider shelves you don’t need to alternate the shoes. I’m limited with space here so I need to make the most of every inch and these rods helped, ty!!!!

These are not what I expected, they're better.The rod is changed in length by a screwing the smaller rod into the larger rod, then secured in place with a slight amount of spring compression. The rods are metal and the ends are soft plastic, which do tend to slide on a smooth surface. Not the best quality control, but they work well.Once extended, the rod tends to loosen when compressed, so not sure if that's going to be a problem with them staying in place in my travel trailer. Will update this review if they don't.

I saw this idea on the internet and decided to try it. I installed two rods, one directly behind the other and am using them as a sheet pan organizer. They're holding up quite nicely!!! If I need to make more slots, I will surely purchase from this seller again. Good product, good price.

I purchased these tension rods to use in my RV refrigerator to secure items on travel days. They worked exactly as I expected, and did not move during even very bumpy rides. Beyond that, I am using them for all sorts of things! One has created a towel rack in the space between my medicine cabinet and wall, freeing up precious counterspace and keeping things neat. One is being used to secure my freestanding toilet paper holder and garbage can rack during travel. And, two are being used to create curtain rods to hold my homemade black out curtains that keep the sun from waking us up too early in the morning! They are easy to use and hold tight when twisted securely in place. If you want to remove in them you simply twist in the opposite direction and then you can move them or store them for their next use.
