I ordered this to replace a plastic pitcher we were using on the table for water. Since our family includes fairly young children, I was hesitant to get strictly glass. This is a good alternative. The water sits in glass but is protected by plastic, although it's very stable and doesn't seem like it will tip easily. It holds enough to fill glasses for a family of 6. We've served only water from the tap, so there's no need to use the cap, but it's nice to know it supposedly accommodates iced or hot drinks. It's not elegant, but it looks fine on the family dining table, and we're all satisfied with it.

This pitcher is made of high quality materials. It's easy to clean and looks great. I love how it doesn't take up too much space in the fridge and is easy to hold and pours like a dream.

I am slightly addicted to coffee. I admit it. I drink no water other than what I get in coffee. I realize this isn’t healthy but I’m not fond of drinking water and don’t want anything sweetened. So I decided to give iced tea a try. Well it worked! My fluid intake is up and I really do feel better. I love that this can have the boiling water poured right into it. I love that it tastes great! I really love that when I pour it into a glass it doesn’t spill…as in it never spills out of the spout. The only thing I don’t love is that water gets trapped between the glass and the plastic holder when you put it into the dishwasher. (If you turn the little knobby thing on the bottom it releases the water) It’s lightweight and fits perfectly in my refrigerator. I really like the way it looks. I would definitely buy this again. As a matter of fact, I did buy another for my daughter. Oh and if you’re looking for a great tea I highly recommend the Twinings Strawberry and Raspberry's Ice tea. Caffeine free and addicting.

I bought this pitcher to make tea. I liked the fact that it is glass with a nice plastic holder to protect it. Making hot tea hasn't been an issue, it did well with boiling water. It is easy to clean and fits perfect in my refrigerator. The only down side for me is the cap isn't completely tight and water getting trapped between the pitcher and holder, otherwise I'm pleased with my purchase.

I've had to replace two tempered glass tea jugs because stress on the handle would eventually cause the jug to fracture at the handle joint. This jug resolved that issue completely. The Delove jug is sturdy and well made. The handle is strong -- no worries about breakage -- and the glass is well-protected. I have had no issues with assembly, disassembly, or cleaning.I also have not experienced any of the reported leakage issues; I suspect these problems are IQ related rather than a manufacturing defect or design flaw.I hope that Delove will make a larger version in the future.

We had a glass pitcher that broke within a year. This pitcher is perfect - just the right size for a blender full of juice or gazpacho, and the glass is protected by the plastic exterior. Only thing is the cap isn't completely tight, so if you shake the contents, you will get leakage.

My only real complaint so far is that it holds 60 ounces, not the advertised 68 ounces, but is still a good size pitcher. I read mixed reviews here and was a little nervous about buying this thinking that it may not meet my expectations. My purpose for this pitcher was to have a glass water pitcher I could keep my distilled drinking water in inside the fridge. I wanted to find a glass one because distilled water absorbs BPA and other chemicals in plastic. I had a very difficult time finding a glass pitcher to purchase anywhere that wasn't totally glass with glass handle, etc. I wanted the glass pitcher to be protected in plastic or stainless steel in order to prevent breakage since I drink a ton of water and take it in/out of the fridge many, many times each day. Stainless steel was another option, but it is almost impossible to find a stainless steel pitcher that has a sealed lid. This pitcher fit the bill because it has a lid that completely covers the water so that the water will not absorb fridge odors. The lid (although many seem to complain about it on these reviews) seems just fine to me. The water pours nicely from either option on the spout (You can pour out of the circular hole on the stainless steel lid or there is a hole with lines in it). The one with lines in it pours a bit nicer, but both are fine. It doesn't splash out, as one review said. It pours in a good flow....not too fast or slow. I will confirm that if you have the lid turned so that neither hole is showing and you pour the pitcher, water does still come out somewhat, but it's not a big deal. Just don't pour it over when you don't water to come out. I don't have any problem with the lid falling out when I pour at all. But out of an abundance of caution, since I know it's not an EXTREMELY tight seal, I usually hold the lid anyway, but I have not had any problems with water coming out when it's not supposed to or where it's not supposed to.I like that the lid, although the top is plastic, the underneath and grate/hole parts are stainless steel (or purport to be)....That way I don't have any plastic touching my distilled water.I ordered the pink one, and every time I take the water out of the fridge I think "This is such a cute pitcher, I'm so glad I ordered pink." I've only had it a couple days, so I haven't taken the bottom off yet (It unscrews off from my understanding), though I plan to try not to since some reviews complained that there is some trick to getting it back on properly to ensure that there is some sort of suction or pressure for the lid to seal? I'm not sure what that's about and have not read the insert of little instructions that came with my pitcher yet, but I plan to read those before I try taking it off. I don't see why you would need to take the bottom off unless you needed to clean in between the glass carafe and the plastic encasing. This would probably be more necessary if you were planning to use it for something sticky or sweet or colorful, like Sweet Tea or Koolaid or Sangria, etc. But taking the bottom off isn't really going to allow you to clean the INSIDE of the carafe any better than you would if you just stuck your hand in or a bottle brush in from the top with the casing still in tact. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase. It was fairly inexpensive, and fit the bill for what I was seeking with the exception of the fact that I wish it were 68 ounces as advertised instead of 60 ounces, so that I would not have to refill the pitcher so often. I highly recommend it thus far, nonetheless.

Love the look and functionality and quality. The only thing is when I pour any liquids the water spills down bottom of pitcher and leaks everywhere. It is unusable. Ive tried position the little rubber ring seal multiple ways but it never seals between the glass rim and plastic holder, so water just gushes out. If that were fixed it would be a 5 star pitcher.
