I am not sure how heavy a riveting hammer should be, but this one seems on the heavy side for fine work, but is still very easy to use even on the small delicate stuff. A lighter hammer with a smaller face for tight spaces might be nice, but for the price, this hammer is finished very well, and is a great value.

Excellent service and packaging. The handle is made for comfortable use balance and durability. In this case the picture on Amazon does not do the hammer justice. It looks darkin the picture but the head of the hammer I received is smooth and polished to a high shinny luster. It actually looks like one of the expensive high dollar tools. For my use it should last for many years.

Can't beat the hammer for the price point. It's not a super heavy duty one. But it's great for small pieces of gold and silver.

This thing is great--not too weighty and I can use it for saddlery--my tack hammer didn't have this angled back for folding leather in tight spaces. This is a little light for the pre-tinned eyelets I got from "get the sledge hammer out" supplier where his eyelets are now in my Amazon "shrine" to the China junk pile accumulating space in my shop. With non-tinned brass or copper eyelets this hammer is perfect--but more over, it's universal--leather folding and creasing the awesome full of rawhide I get from overseas by my saddle suppliers--this will really help me beat the foreign tanned crap leather imported to the U.S into submission. I love it.

I am not sure what is deluxe about it. Came with head loose on the handle. Easy fix with simple wedge, but the head is so soft that it was pitted badly after hammering few small #18 nails into soft wood. It is labeled as riveting hammer, maybe for marshmallow rivets? Maybe it is made just for looking at it. Not recommended at any price.

This is a beautiful and great little hammer that does everything a riveting hammer should. It is well made and was a great price! I love it!

Nice hammer. Has good "feel". The handle is the right length for me. The head is polished nicely. My only complaint is that the head is starting to loosen and I've only used it a few times to rework aluminum automotive trim. For the price, the head should stay locked for life. Maybe I got a dud. Easy enough to fix, but not something you should need to do.

Came nicely wrapped and packed to keep from getting dinged. Both hammer faces are smooth - I didn't need to do any polishing to get a nice smooth finish on my hammered pieces. It's light and comfortable to use especially for small work. I wouldn't use this for large forming work though. It's best for rivets (what it's made for) and forming smaller gauge wire (16g and smaller) and very fine chasing work. Great price for the quality.

The handle was very rough and needed to be finished by me using sandpaper and then varnish. Was then able to test it by tapping a few copper rivets. This resulted in small dents to the hammer face. Possibly the manufacturer intended this as a decorative item, and you are not supposed to use it to achieve any real work.
