My God these Demeyere pans are the best things I have used. I know they cost a pretty penny, but they are worth it. Heat retention is absolutely outstanding. No discernible hot spots. Heat transfers right up the edge of the pans which means water and sauces heat faster and more evenly. And further...1) We LOVE the smooth interior of these pans. There are no rivets or weld spots. They are perfectly impeccably engineered and constructed. This makes cleaning much easier AND getting every last drop of sauce out via a good spatula possible.2) To my horror, food has already been burned BLACK to the bottom of the pans - TWICE (the cost of children). And both times? I got 100% of it out and they were left smooth, and sparkly silver. Even burned on oil comes off easily with Barkeepers Friend. (There are only 2 things I would change about this product.1) For this pan in particular - the 3.5 Qt Sauteuse - the lid does not fit as snug as the others. It is actually quite loose. I do not like this myself. The other pots' lids fit snug as gloves.2) I would increase my salary so I can afford to outfit my entire kitchen all at once with these. :)Happy cooking!

Demeyere’s Atlantis line is sublime. The only drawback is the weight, but some may even consider that an advantage, and it comes with the territory for such fantastic cookware. This 3.5qt saucier heats very evenly and very quickly, and the size is big enough, you can cook nearly anything in it. Sure, sauces, but also one-pot meals, even small stir-fry. And with the fantastic no-river handles, cleanup is a relative breeze. It ain’t cheap, but while you do not always get what you pay for, you definitely have to pay for what you get, and Demeyere delivers across the board: easy cleanup, good looks, excellent heat distribution. What’s not to like?

Beautiful looking pans . Excellent heat retention and a really good size for multiple tasks . No problem with sticker removal . This is my second one and I have all the other Atlantis and proline pieces .

I haven't been able to use this saucier because they put unremovable product stickers on the cooking surface. The instructions say to use acetone, which I didn't have. After waiting a few days to obtain acetone, I applied it and waited for a while for the glue to dissolve. When I came back, the acetone had totally evaporated and the sticker still wouldn't budge. All of this is very inconvenient when you are looking forward to using your new cookware immediately. It's an extremely stupid and annoying decision made by the company to plaster their products with these stickers. Later on I spent several minutes again applying and wiping acetone to remove the sticker. Most of it came off, but try as I might, I absolutely cannot get the last residue of the sticker glue off the pot. I'm worried that if I cook with the residue still there, it will bake in and never come off. It doesn't ever appear to be coming off anyway, so I'm not sure what to do. I wish I would have bought a different brand.

I bought this item after some thought as it was quite expensive. Having used it for about 6 months, I can say that it is worth the price. It is very heavy and sits stable on the cooktop (unlike the All-Clad that will topple). The finish is beautiful, both inside and outside. It heats quickly and very evenly that avoids food burns. It also retains heat for a very long time that alleviates the need for re-heating, if food is served over long time periods (a big plus). The inside Silveronix finish can get scratched if stirred with a sharp ladle. It happened to us, but had no effect on cooking. The welded handles (instead of riveted) make a big difference when cleaning, which I do only by hand. I will highly recommend this product if it fits your cooking needs and budgetary slack.

I've been using Demeyere cookware for ten years now and I'm impressed every time I use them. Dinner guests will often say things like "Wow, looks like you just got a new set of cookware", or "Doesn't look like those pans get a lot of use". Actually, the truth is that the pans get used daily, but after ten years even my most used pans look amazing. This sauteuse pan was an excellent addition to my collection a couple years ago and it gets quite a bit of use. The sides heat very evenly so sauces are more uniformly heated. As with all Demeyere Proline and Atlantis cookware, the surface finish is amazing and holds up extraordinarily well to daily use and occasional misuse. I do recommend using the Demeyere brand cleaner to remove those stubborn stains once and awhile, but otherwise a quick soak in hot soapy water is all it takes to remove any adhered food bits. You will absolutely love the design of the lip on this pan. Sauces pour out effortlessly without dripping down the side of the pan. I love this about all of my Demeyere cookware, and they definitely got it right with this pan.

I have a complete set of Demeyer Atlantis and Proline, but this is such a favorite that I'm purchasing a second. This is the pan used every day, for items stirred with a whisk, such as vegetables, sauces, rice dishes, even macaroni and cheese. When cooking for two people the 2.1 quart is the perfect size pan. Now that I have two I can wait to run the dishwasher until it's full. The handles stay cool, no rivets to trap sauces, a soak removes all but the toughest cooked on deposits and they're dishwasher safe (take that copper lovers). Extremely even heating, although they don't cool down as quickly as I'd like. Absolutely the best cookware and after four years of use without any significant damage, I can honestly say that I believe these will last for the rest of my life.
