Stainless Steel Quick Disconnect
You can quickly attach and detach your silicone lines throughout your brew day and it makes clean up easier as well.
Female and male ends are used to form a locking seal. The male end is simply a post with a locking groove in it while the female end comes with a spring loaded cover(That must be pull back when connecting/disconnecting, ball bearings that lock into the male groove,and a food grade o-ring that creates the seal.
- Used in fermentation transfer hosing
- Used them to connect the mash tun / ball valve
- The fittings are machined well,and there is a red o-ring seal inside. They can handle the pressure of the pump and boiling liquid.

This is a nice coupler. The action is very precise feeling, but not difficult to manage, and the seal works well. Perfect for my use.

I used this quick disconnect set in my homebrew setup. My brew kettle has a 1/2" ball valve near the bottom with a FPT opening. I was able to screw the MPT/male disconnect into that, and then connect the barb/female disconnect to a 1/2" ID silicone hose (I did use a hose clamp because I didn't intend to remove the hose from the barb ever, but the barb/hose connection was loose enough that you could remove the hose safely if you wanted).Overall feels solid, makes a tight connection. I have not yet tested for leaks but based on its apparent quality and matching the online description well, I give it five stars.

Installed on my ultrasonic tank drain valve, able to take hose off to store. It works what I wanted. Tad expensive though.
